This document describes the ARDUI-NO-PEST, a low-cost and non-polluting device that uses an Arduino board, ultrasonic sensor, vibration motor, and buzzer to detect and repel pests from agricultural fields. The ultrasonic sensor detects pests and triggers the vibration motor and buzzer to emit ultrasonic sounds and vibrations to drive pests away without using harmful pesticides. The device aims to help farmers combat pests in an environmentally friendly manner and reduce crop damage and economic losses from pests.

3. ABSTRACT:
• Plant pests harm both cultivated and naturally grown plants by impeding their
growth and causing damage. The interference and harm prevent plants from
realising their genetic potential. The destruction caused by pre- and post-harvest
pests and diseases is therefore thought to account for at least 30 to 40% of global
agricultural output.
• Consequently, assist farmers in implementing low-cost, non-polluting, and
energy-efficient technologies to combat the serious foes and pests that threaten
paddy fields. In order to stop pests from entering agriculture fields, the
ARDUI"NO-PEST" is described in this study.

4. INTRODUCTION:
• Technology has a wide range of instruments, its primary purpose is to facilitate
human activities and, in certain cases, even to replace humans in commercial or
industrial settings.
• Agriculture is one of the most vital fields because it provides food for the human
population and also supports the farmers who cultivate economically because
agriculture, particularly paddy, is a major source of income for countries such as
India and Indonesia.Pests are the most dangerous, almost every season there is a
pest explosion on rice crops that reduces production, takes a toll on crops, and
causes a major economic downfall.

8. WORKING:
• The working principle of this module is simple. Ultrasonic sensors used will detect
signals between 20 and 200 kHz can be useful for detecting nearby insects in
moderate to high levels of background noise. It sends an ultrasonic pulse out at
40kHz which travels through the air and if there is an obstacle or object, it will
bounce back to the sensor.
• And the sensor will be alerted by buzzer sound. Subsequently the coin vibrator
vibrates to indicate and buzzer emits a ultrasonic sound wave and drives away
pests in the proximity

9. ADVANTAGES:
• Convenient, and Easy to Use Ultrasonic pest repellents don't bear a technical setup. Plug it into the power outlet and
we're done

• As soon as pests hear the constant high-frequency sound waves, they will feel the stress of sounds targeting their

• Hence this project “ARDUI-NO-PEST” will be a good alternative for the
chemical pesticides which nullifies the harmful effect created by pesticides
on soil .
• No use of pesticides will ensure that there is no possibility for
eutrophication.
• It minimizes the expenses spent on both pesticides and on labor for pest
control.
