INTRODUCTION
ARCOA Group is R2:2013, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 Certified IT asset disposition
company with 25 years of market experience. ARCOA offers unique service capabilities through
fully integrated processes that include: In-house owned logistics/trucking, IT asset auditing
services, IT asset re-marketing, stringent data security/reporting services, end-of-life
recycling/commodities recovery and detailed reporting that are completely customizable.
We currently service many customers in the Midwest and across the nation and give them
maximum returns and absolute security for their end-of-use IT equipment.
LOGISTICS
1. ARCOA Group services our customers with our internal truck fleet which gives us the
ability to offer lower cost logistics to our customers and effectively secure the chain of
custody when transporting customer assets.
2. We provide white glove logistics if needed as an additional service.
3. All drivers are employees of ARCOA Group and are trained in packing and
transportation safety. All trucks are equipped with all of the proper tools/equipment to
pack, move and securely transport all types of IT assets and office copiers.
4. Secure locked bins can be provided for extra security when transporting items such as
Hard Drives and other data containing equipment.
5. Certificates of Insurance, with amounts to meet customer needs, can be presented at the
time of each pick up or before via email. This must be requested by the customer at least
2 days in advance.
ASSET AUDITING/REPORTING
1. ARCOA Group’s reporting system is flexible and customizable to give you the info you
need, in a format that works for you. We understand the importance for companies, both
large and small, to be able to track their IT assets. Our reporting ensures you receive the
needed documentation for records of audit, destruction, end-of-life recycling, data erasure
(degauss, wipe or physical destruction) and/or asset re-marketing.
2. We are able to provide make, model and serial number reporting for assets/hard drives,
asset de-tagging, environmental impact reports, Certificates of Destruction, Certificates
of Recycling, LOT Specific Mass Balance Reports, Receiving Reports and more, which
are all attached. (See Sample Reports)
DATA SECURITY

1. ARCOA Group is a R2:2013 certified electronics recycling company. R2 Certification
requires that we uphold stringent processes when dealing with data sensitive material.
ARCOA’s platform of service is built around this as a principle and every customer
should expect this. All ARCOA Group ITAD Representatives are certified in IT Asset
Disposition by The International Association of IT Asset Managers and are well versed in
helping customers meet their needs.
2. We have two methods of erasure, both of which are compliant NIST 800-088 guidelines.
The first method, which is performed on all drives designated for end-of-life recycling, is
degaussing. Degaussing is considered to be the most efficient method of erasure as it
scrambles the servo and leaves the drive inoperable. The second method, typically
performed on drives designated for re-marketing and at the customer’s discretion, is a
DOD standard wipe. We can perform anywhere up to a 7 pass wipe, again depending on
the customer’s preference.
3. We are able to provide many methods of reporting on drives/data destruction. The first,
which comes standard with every shipment, is a guarantee that all data has been
destroyed in compliance with NIST 800-088 guidelines. This appears at the bottom of the
Certificate of Recycling sent out with every shipment received. The second, is make,
model and serial number reporting on each drive that passes through the
degaussing/wiping equipment. This is an itemized list and is provided at request of the
customer. Make, model and serial number reporting can also be provided on each piece
of equipment processed but is then known as a Basic Audit Report. The third method is
also only provided at customer request. It is a one page detailed report of each drive and
the destruction specs/method used.
4. We are also able to provide detailed counts and asset de-tagging, at the customer’s
request.
5. ARCOA Group is audited, by a third party auditing company, on a quarterly basis but
internal audits are done on a daily and monthly basis.
RE-MARKETING
1. ARCOA believes in re-use as a method of not only reducing environmental impact, but
also because it’s the best method possible to help the businesses that we work with to
maximize ROI on their end-of-use IT assets.
2. IT asset re-marketing is only done at the discretion of the customer.
3. ARCOA Group has 25 years of IT asset re-marketing experience.
4. For assets that still have market value, customers can either choose for ARCOA to
outright buy the equipment or ARCOA can re-market them on a consignment basis.
5. All assets brought in for re-marketing go through an audit process to make sure that they
are still working and that all tags and identifying labels/marks are removed from the
device to ensure customer safety and satisfaction. The hard drives will be wiped to DOD
standards. Once this process is complete ARCOA will place the items up for re-market.
Items not sold within 90 days will either be recycled or the terms can be extended based
on estimated asset value.

6. All audit reports, sanitization reports and de-tagging reports are available to customer
immediately upon completion of those processes but customer can choose whether they
would like to settle the accounts monthly, quarterly, semi-annually or annually.
Settlement would include lists of items sold and credits for said items.
END-OF-LIFE RECYCLING
1. ARCOA Group is a R2:2013, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certified electronics
recycling company. This means that we uphold the highest environmental, health and
safety standards to our facilities, processes and employees.
2. ARCOA Group operates a true end-of-life recycling/IT asset re-marketing facility. This is
where all assets are brought for re-deployment/disposition. This enables us to ensure
security in the chain of custody, being that we are the only company managing our
customer’s assets at all points in the process.
3. We de-manufacture IT assets at our facility. This is a process of breaking down each
piece of equipment by hand to recover the commodities for proper recycling. This helps
us to uphold our 0% landfill policy but also ensures that we are able to recover maximum
value from all assets and put the commodities back into the market place.
4. ARCOA audits our downstream consumers annually to make sure that they are following
the same environmental, health and safety guidelines that we hold as a standard.
5. Our de-manufacturing facility has a full time EH&S staff overseeing the safety,
compliance and well-being of the processes, employees and facilities.

1. As stated in above paragraphs, we believe in building a best value proposition for each of
our customers that fits their individual needs. We are able to give our customers a
substantial reduction in costs associated with their disposal of end of use electronics and
at times, based on asset mix, volumes and other required services, generate a return of
capital back them.
