WARNING
Risk for electric chock
Hold the power tool by in-
sulated gripping surfaces (A) when
performing an operation where the
cutting accessory or fastener may
come in contact with hidden wi-
ring. Cutting accessory or fasteners
contacting a wire may expose metal
parts of the power tool which could
give the operator an electric chock.
Contact with electric lines can lead
to fire and electric chock.
Penetrating a water line causes
property damage and may cause an
electric chock.
Risk of injury Damaging a
gas line can lead to explo-
sion.
Do not use the power tool in the rain
or in damp surroundings. Moisture
in the power tool may cause a short
circuit and burning.)

CAUTION
Protection Be sure to wear suitable
protection, such as ear protection
(I), safety goggles (II), a dust mask
for work which generates dust (III),
protective gloves (IV), and hairnet if
you have long hair (V), when wor-
king with raw materials and when
changing tools.
Risk of injury Hold the
power tool firmly in your
hand. Adjust the torque (B) correctly
for screwing. Be ­prepared for a high
reaction ­torque, which may cause
the power tool to turn and possibly
lead to injury.

3 INSTRUCTIONS
This is how to use the BPD18 from Catapult Power Tools.
Before you use the equipment, read chapter 2 on safety very
carefully.
►► On/off switch
CAUTION
Risk of injury Secure the
workpiece in such a manner
that it cannot move while being
machined.
A Start Press the on/off switch to
use the machine.
B Stop Release the on/off switch to
stop using the machine.
C Press The speed of the machines
rotation is depending on how
hard the on/off switch is pressed.

A Switch to the left Clockwise
rotation.
B Switch to the right Counter-
clockwise rotation.

the gear by switching the gear
switch. This will change the
speed when using the power tool.

►► Adjusting torque
CAUTION

power tool before changing settings.
A Fastening Select the desired
­torque setting by rotate the
­torque wheel. Position 1 is the
lowest torque and the highest
torque is position 12.
B Signal A signal will sound when
the preset torque is reached
and the machine will switch off.
Release the switch and press the
on/off switch to start the power
tool again.
C Drilling When drilling,
rotate ­torque switch to
the position with a drill symbol.
This torque setting is the one
with maximum torque.

►► Changing bits
CAUTION
Risk of injury Always switch off the
power tool before changing settings.
D Open jaw Rotate the chuck to the
right to open the jaw.
E Remove bit Remove the bit from
the jaw.
F New bit Put a new bit into the
jaw.
G Close jaw Rotate the chuck to
the left to close the jaw.
H Bit holder We recommend using
a bit holder in the jaw when
working with the power tool.
This enables the user to change
bits without opening and closing
the jaw.

►► Changing battery
Ready to use The battery is ready
to be used at delivery.
A Install battery To put the battery
in the screwdriver, push the bat-
tery into the slot at the bottom of
the screwdriver until you hear a
click (A).
B Remove battery To remove the
battery from the screwdriver,
press the button (B) and slide
the battery from its slot at the
bottom of the screwdriver.

Battery status The LED lamp on
the BPD18 from Catapult Power
Tools works as a battery status
indicator.
»» LED green – lit continuously
indicates the battery is charged
> 60 %
»» LED green – flashing slowly
­indicates the battery is charged
30 %–60 %
»» LED green – flashing quickly
indicates the battery is charged
0 %–30 %
»» LED yellow – lit ­continuously
­indicates that the battery is
empty.
»» LED red – lit continuously means
the battery temperature is higher
than the permitted range.
»» LED red – flashing indicates a
general fault, e.g. incomplete
contact, short circuit, battery pack
faulty, etc.

4 MAINTENANCE
This is how to take care of the BPD18 from Catapult Power
Tools. Only use original parts from Catapult Power Tools.

housing to be opened must only be
carried out by authorized service

A Clean ventilation slits Keep the
ventilation slits on the machine
free from dust and dirt to make
sure the cooling is working. Use a
dampen cloth when cleaning.
B Clean contacts Keep the con-
tacts on the machine and battery
clean from dust and dirt. Use a
dry cloth when cleaning.
