What the heck is
The Popcorn
Team?
I had always wondered what will happen if I had the chance to serve people longer
than in my retreats or conferences, and that’s how I came up with the idea of The
Popcorn Team.
In a nutshell, it is a concept I developed in which a small group of beautiful individuals (2 to 3)
come and live with me at The Soul Spa for a period that goes from 6 weeks to 3 months.
During this time we work together in projects I am running, while I support them in projects they
are running or planning, or simply support them in ﬁnding ways of using their unique talents to
discover and design their own way to manifest them and share them with the world.

What’s the job
description?
Chill! There is no job description, that’s deﬁnitely not how I work!
As a member of The Popcorn Team, you are part of a family that lives in a unique place (The Soul Spa).
We wake up early, we make our beds, we take breakfast, we keep the house clean and make it more
beautiful by letting our creativity take wings, we cook, we read loads of books, we make BBQs, we
paint...
We plan retreats and conferences, put them together and make them happen.
We enjoy the small town where we live. We make daily presentations from the books we are reading and
watch movies at night. We don’t drink alcohol. We play with our dog “Lolo” and most importantly we are
here for each other.
All in all, we live a life worth living, disconnected from the pressure of our social circles, we learn
from it and we take our learning back home with us (wherever “home” is, since after being part of the
team, The Soul Spa will always remain home for you!)

My experience in Soul Spa was all about attention.
The way I was living my life everyday had a very small
attention span towards what I was doing, thinking, and
how I was capitalizing and enjoying each moment.
One and a half months of intense experience changed
fundamentally the way I am now looking at my work,
my life, my relationships and most importantly, the way I
am taking care of myself.
I learned how to love myself in a complete way and
how to reﬂect that in my everyday actions and emotions.
To me, Popcorn Team means taking precisely what I
need to boost my life. It means home and family. If
these words are speaking to a part of you, you are the
best person to apply for the next Popcorn Team.

Attention and details. These are the two keywords
that best describe my six weeks at the Soul Spa.
I never paid much attention to my immediate and larger
environment. I mostly thought like this: ”If it looks good
on the outside, the inside doesn‘t really matter“. This
superﬁcial habit was replaced by wonderful habits of
physical exercise, attention to everything around me,
myself, even apparently small things as a spec of dust in
the corner.
My stay at the Soul Spa with three beautiful individuals
kick-started a process of accepting myself and
others as we are, shedding judgment and the need
to win in every situation.
It‘s not always a harmonious process, but challenge is
what I came for. This is going to be a unique
experience in a magical place right on the shores
of the Ocean.

When I arrived to the Soul Spa, I still believed that I keep
my mirror of myself clear, look into it often and pay good
attention to detail - enough to know what to expect
(studying psychology I should, right?). Yeah, well... soon
I was to realize how big of a difference there is
between knowing and Knowing, clear and Clear, detail
and Detail.
Often getting pushed to emotional places I had been
avoiding, catching myself trying to run away, I started to
realize this is exactly what I need to face and go
through with my eyes open in order to evolve. Gradually,
more and more pushes, observations and decisions
started to turn into valuable lessons, allowing me to
open up and bring about more ﬂow into different
areas of my life.
All that in a magical place buzzing with creative energy,
where ideas (and delicious food) pop into reality
constantly.

Through my Popcorn Team Experience I
disconnected (mostly) from the world to go into
myself and reﬂect on my behaviors, habits,
and goals.
This process happened in a house full of moving
energy, under the sun, in a quiet little town at the
coast and with people who are different than me.
I was able to improve myself through reﬂection
and action with the help of Dey and my
teammates.
The Soul Spa for me truly is a place to rewire.
I cannot think of any other place that would have
enabled these changes than the Soul Spa.

Application process,
conditions and timeline
Conditions:
•  The minimum period is six weeks and the maximum period is twelve weeks.
•  You should not need – or have already – a visa to enter Portugal.
•  The cost of the experience is 45 Euros per week to cover meals and bills, the total amount should be paid
in advance before arrival by bank transfer or PayPal.
Timeline:
•  September to November: Earliest starting date 5th September 2013. Latest ending date 30th
November 2013.

Since some time ago, hosting people has become my
passion.
The 26th June 2010 I made a couple of decisions that
changed my life dramatically and I have been blossoming
since then. I truly want to share with you my
discoveries in a day to day experience.
I am not an easy person to live with. I do not lower my
standards to accommodate yours. I actually raise
them more and more every day and you will have to deal
with that, please be aware. I operate from a place of
love, not “with” love; this meaning sometimes it will be
hard to understand my ways of serving you. Just keep
this in mind if you decide to apply, it will be very tough.
Having said this, I am looking forward to your application.
