Maximizing Your Research Visibility and Impact: A Step-by-Step Guide Session ...Nader Ale Ebrahim
Research visibility and impact are essential for maximizing the reach of research and thus facilitating the advancement of knowledge and progress. One of the key ways to increase research visibility and impact is to expose the research output to the widest possible audience. Publishing a high-quality paper in a scientific journal is only half the way to receiving impact and citations in the future. The rest of the journey is advertising and disseminating the publications by using the proper “Research Tools”. Citations on an article strongly depend on the visibility, rather than the merit, of the article. Researchers have spent plenty of time and effort writing their research for publication. However, most of the researchers stop their work after publication. Dissemination and archiving of an article is an essential phase of the publication life cycle. The step-by-step guide on this webinar series will examine how the effective use of various research tools can help to increase the visibility and impact of researchers’ visibility, and published research, leading to an increase in citations and subsequent improvement in university ranking.

Research visibility and its Impact on University RankingsNader Ale Ebrahim
Numerous university ranking systems directly or indirectly rely on research visibility and impact. So, research visibility and impact play a major role in university rankings. The visibility for high-quality research and publications is usually high. However, very few researchers may do high-quality research that causes them to receive well-known awards like the Nobel Prize. The majority of researchers are doing moderate-quality research, which needs to be promoted well for being visible and getting an impact in the future. To improve the visibility and impact of research, universities should focus on several strategies such as online profile building, networking and collaboration, effective publication and dissemination channels, and social media engagement. These strategies help researchers to enhance their visibility and impact of research that, in turn, helps in improving the ranking of universities. In this webinar, Nader Ale Ebrahim (A Research Visibility and Impact Consultant) explains how research visibility and impact influence university rankings, as well as presents various "Research Tools" to assist researchers and universities to promote and advertise their publications, thereby increasing their research visibility and impact.

Citation Tracking: Enrich Research Visibility and ImpactNader Ale Ebrahim
Citation tracking is used to discover the most influential articles and how often researchers own published papers are cited. Citation tracking allows you to find out which bits of your work are appreciated and used by other academics. As a general rule, high quality articles attract a greater number of citations. There are some indexing services which keep track of citations; however, no single database covers all works that cite other works. Scopus, Web of Science (WOS), Google Scholar, ResearchGate, are some examples of Citation Tracking tools. In this webinar, I will introduce some important tools for tracking your scholarly output citations and know how often (and by whom) your paper has been cited already?
The objective of researchers is to have their work published in high-impact journals that can maximize the visibility and impact of their research. This means making sure that the journal is respected in the academic community and that other researchers are citing their work. In this talk, various practical strategies are presented for journal publishers to enhance their article citations without resorting to unethical practices. Nader Ale Ebrahim, a consultant on research visibility and impact, elaborates on how these factors contribute to a journal's success and provides a selection of "Research Tools" to support editors and editorial staff in promoting and publicizing their publications to enhance their journal's visibility and impact. Researchers need to remove many traditional obstacles to disseminate and outreach their research outputs. Academic social networking and blogs allows you to connect with other researchers in your field, share your publications, and get feedback on your non-peer-reviewed work. Blogs are a vital tool for academics to publicly communicate about research developments and findings. The academic social networking, making your work more widely discoverable and easily available. The two best known academic social networking sites are ResearchGate and Academia.edu. These sites offer an instant technique to monitor what other people are looking at in your field of research. Both networks offer roughly the same features. ResearchGate is more closely focused on collaboration and interaction, while Academia.edu often functions more as an academic version of LinkedIn, with an online CV and as a place to share your publications.

The Roman Empire A Historical Colossus.pdfkaushalkr1407
The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence.
