Students who complete a Silver CREST Award through hands-on science, engineering, and technology projects are more likely to perform better at GCSE exams and pursue STEM A-levels in high school compared to similar students who did not participate. On average, CREST students scored higher GCSE points than their non-CREST peers, and a greater percentage of CREST students chose to study STEM A-levels after secondary school. The CREST program benefits approximately 30,000 UK students annually and provides real-world experiences that positively influence academic achievement and subject selection.

The results provide evidence for CREST's benefits and support continued funding and improvements to increase participation of disadvantaged students.

Higher education has become a major global industry. While the number of students studying at universities outside their own country continues to grow, the most dramatic development has been the increase in the number of students studying for a foreign degree without leaving their home country. So-called ‘transnational’ higher education, which embraces universities offering their degrees by distance-learning, through franchise partners and validated centres, as well as by setting up ‘international branch campuses’, is increasingly seen as one of the great growth industries of the future. California ZTC Degrees Panel: Past, Present, and Future
Online Teaching Conference 2020: Twenty-six California Community Colleges embarked on a journey to create thirty-four Zero Textbook Cost (ZTC) Degrees to dramatically reduce the financial burden of earning an associate degree or career technical education certificate. More than 20,000 students over three years would benefit from this approach to eliminating the barrier of textbook costs. Data collected from participating colleges show that all students in ZTC pathways did better than those in non-ZTC courses, and that traditionally underserved populations did even better.
With proven results of reducing equity gaps, the Governor has proposed doubling the initial $5 million ZTC program to $10 million in FY21, opening this opportunity to more colleges wishing to leverage ZTCs to increase student achievement and reduce equity gaps. Online Teaching Conference 2020: Twenty-six California Community Colleges embarked on a journey to create thirty-four Zero Textbook Cost (ZTC) Degrees to dramatically reduce the financial burden of earning an associate degree or career technical education certificate. More than 20,000 students over three years would benefit from this approach to eliminating the barrier of textbook costs. Data collected from participating colleges show that all students in ZTC pathways did better than those in non-ZTC courses, and that traditionally underserved populations did even better.
With proven results of reducing equity gaps, the Governor has proposed doubling the initial $5 million ZTC program to $10 million in FY21, opening this opportunity to more colleges wishing to leverage ZTCs to increase student achievement and reduce equity gaps. population expansion, and economic progress, the effects on natural ecosystems are becoming
more evident. A crucial element of this impact is the alteration of vegetation cover, which plays a
significant role in maintaining the ecological equilibrium of our planet.Land serves as the foundation for all human activities and provides the necessary materials for
these activities. As the most crucial natural resource, its utilization by humans results in different
'Land uses,' which are determined by both human activities and the physical characteristics of the
land.
The utilization of land is impacted by human needs and environmental factors. In countries
like India, rapid population growth and the emphasis on extensive resource exploitation can lead
to significant land degradation, adversely affecting the region's land cover.
Therefore, human intervention has significantly influenced land use patterns over many

cover is essential for various planning and management tasks related to the Earth's surface,
