Vincent Chan, a principal architect at Oracle, gave a presentation on how Oracle Enterprise Manager 12c can help automate database lifecycle management. He discussed how EM12c can quickly provision databases, automate patching processes, detect regressions in SQL performance, and ensure compliance with security best practices. He also presented a case study of HDFC Bank that implemented a database-as-a-service solution using Oracle Exadata and EM12c, reducing database provisioning times from weeks to minutes.

Oracle RAC and Your Way to the Cloud by Angelo PruscinoMarkus Michalewicz
Angelo Pruscino, SVP Oracle RAC Development, presents the future of Oracle RAC, including some upcoming technologies and their relevance for the (private) database cloud as part of his Keynote during the DOAG 2014 conference.
Database Lifecycle Management and Cloud Management - Hands on Lab (OOW2014)Hari Srinivasan
EM12c Database Lifecycle Management –
Database Fleet Standardization & Transition to Database as a Service
The objective of this lab (ran in OOW 2014) is to showcase the Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control 12c’s lifecycle management capabilities and show how database organization can begin their cloud journey with Self service (Database as a Service).
Oracle RAC BP for Upgrade & More by Anil Nair and Markus MichalewiczMarkus Michalewicz
This presentation provides reasons and best practices (BP) guidance on when and how to best upgrade to Oracle RAC 12c. It will consider the currently supported patch sets as well as new features that might make it interesting to upgrade at least step by step (Oracle Grid Infrastructure first, then the Oracle Database). Concrete step-by-steps, code and other examples can be found in the appendixes, of which appendix B - "Enhanced OJVM Patching steps" might be of particular interest after going through appendix A: "Grid Infrastructure Upgrade".
Oracle RAC 12c Practical Performance Management and Tuning as presented during Oracle Open World 2013 with Michael Zoll.
This is part three of the Oracle RAC 12c "reindeer series" used for OOW13 Oracle RAC-related presentations.
This part concludes the main part of the "reindeer series" except for one bonus track "Oracle Multitenant meets Oracle RAC 12c" (available via SlidesShare, too).
This presentation focusses on all the Oracle RAC 12c Rel. 2 related features that ensure continuous availability of the applications using an Oracle RAC database for High Availability.
