This document proposes the design of "Anti-Rape Gloves" to help protect women against sexual assault. The gloves would deliver an electric shock and heat to anyone the woman touches, injuring would-be attackers. The gloves would contain an aluminum foil circuit connected to a battery that the woman could activate with a thumb button. This would allow her to shock an assailant by keeping her palm on them. The document argues such a device could help reduce India's high rates of rape and molestation by empowering women to defend themselves.

ABSTRACT
Sexual assault on women is a common
phenomenon in our country. "While a murderer
destroys the physical frame of the victim, a rapist
degrades and defiles the soul of a helpless
female," is the famous quote on this topic.
Under sexual assault comes molestation, eve-
teasing, child sex abuse, rape, marital rape,
domestic violence. Of all these crimes, Rape is
the most violent crime which is committed
against women. According to Section 375 of the
Indian Penal Code, Rape means an unlawful
intercourse done by a man with a woman without
her valid consent. After a rape incident, a woman
lives a pathetic life which includes fear,
depression, guilt complex, suicidal action and
social stigma. In recent times, rape incidents have
increased manifold. According to statistics, two
women are raped in the country every hour. If
further statistics are to be believed, every 10
hours a girl of age 1-10 is being raped in India.
While we do not endorse the notion that women
need things to defend themselves, this Anti-Rape
Device ‘The Anti Rape Gloves’ can serve as a
credible option for the protection against rape.
We can design a glove by which a significant
amount of electric shock as well as heat will be
passed to a person for a very short duration of
time. This will injure the man who tries to harm
any women. Not only this the inside of the gloves
will be insulated to protect the women of getting
electric shock.
This gloves has an aluminum foil connected to a
circuit which is further connected to a battery.
Whenever the button near the women thumb is
pressed, the device starts. Hence electricity is
passed to the foil. Whenever any person
approaches to get near, the woman can save
herself by just keeping her palm on him.
This has the following advantages
• Compared to other devices it will not
fall down or can be easily removed
• Easy and Cheap in Construction
• Easy to use
CONCLUSION
The anti-rape devices is
a sociopolitical approach which is part of
whose objective is to combat the
systemic violence against and abuse of
women. The device seeks to change
community attitudes to violence against
women such as attitudes of entitlement to sex
and victim blaming, as well as attitudes of
women themselves such as self-blame for
violence against them. It also seeks to
promote changes to rape laws or laws of
evidence which enable rapists from suffering
any penalties because, for example victims
being discouraged from reporting assaults
against them, for example, because the rapist
is entitled to some immunity or because a
rapist (as a defendant) is capable in law of
denigrating the victim. By investing in such
devices it can help to reduce the molestation
and rape rate in the country.
