Mr. Anthony Potente has over a decade of experience in the military, including serving as an airport firefighter and rescue team leader in the Marine Corps and as a heavy wheeled truck driver in the US Army. He is currently retired from the military due to a spinal injury requiring surgery in 2011. He works as an NRA weapons instructor, teaching various firearms and self-defense courses. Career Overview
Since August 2001, I have been affiliated with the military starting with the Marine Corps and later on
the US Army.Inthe Marine Corps,I servedasan airport firefighter/EMTwitha background in structural
firefighting. As my time in the corps progressed, I became a rescue team leader. In 2005, I left the
Marines and went to work for a company in Houston, Texas called RTI Energy Systems as a welder's
helper. After being laid off due to cutbacks, I joined the US Army as a heavy wheeled truck driver.
Currently, I am out of the military due to a spinal injury that required surgery in August of 2011. I am
retiredcompletelyas of June 26, 2012. I have also served in Operation Iraqi Freedom I, III, and 08-10 in
the Middle East. I am an 80% disabled veteran.
