This document is an annual review of Jon Fuller's performance in the IT department. It summarizes that in his first 6 months, Jon has taken on many responsibilities from the helpdesk, IT inventory, and equipment purchasing. He has helped with several projects around wiring new offices and installing equipment. Jon has had the biggest impact by taking the lead on the helpdesk, which graphs show has substantially reduced the workload of other IT staff. In the coming year, Jon will continue learning systems and performing audits, while focusing on expanding his networking knowledge through cross-training. His manager believes Jon has already made a terrific impact on the IT department and looks forward to his continued growth as a valuable team member.

Not every organization can afford to have a full time CIO on staff. But someone will be fulfilling the role, even without the title. This seminar will help you understand the role a CIO fulfills within your organization, the areas you may not be addressing without a CIO, the risks and opportunities mitigated by the presence of a CIO, and the new world of outsourced IT.
Additionally, we will discuss if your organization can thrive without the latest technology, whether your IT team is doing what they should be, how your IT infrastructure measures up to best practices, and what technology you may be missing out on.

Jon started back in May, just fresh out of school with limited experience yet still began to have an impact within 3-4
weeks of being employed. He is friendly, outgoing, has a desire to be helpful, very inquisitive, and ready to learn. Jon
has no problem reaching out for help to other IT staff members and they are more than happy to oblige
In the half a year he has been here, Jon has taken over many responsibilities, thus lessening the workload of Scott and
myself allowing us to focus on larger tasks and issues:
• Taken over as lead point of the helpdesk including a lot of manual IT labor for the MA plants
• Taken over IT inventory responsibilities
• Taken over gathering quotes and submitting purchase orders
• Taken over duties of imaging newly purchased and returning equipment
Jon has also helped contribute to a few projects:
• Wire Byfield, MA new offices
• Wire equipment on Georgetown floor including foam routers and wireless access points
• Test, install, and document new Zebra label printers
• Assist with IT office expansion and Data Center expansion
• Assist with installation of TV/PC combos in basement conference room and Keith’s office
By far the area where Jon has had the most impact has been on the helpdesk. The graph below shows a substantial uptick
for Jon around July accompanied by substantial drops by Chris, Art, Andy, and Scott. This has given the rest of the IT
staff an increased ability to meet year end goals and address critical issues.
2. In the year to come, Jon is tasked with continuing to learn corporate systems, analyze the helpdesk tickets for trends,
perform software and hardware audits to ensure compliance, and to process retired equipment in compliance with our
Sarbanes Oxley documentation.
Important areas for Jon to focus on would be his overall networking knowledge and network services. Attending cross-
training would be a great start. Another good area for Jon to expand is to put his school experience to work of analyzing
found or given issues and coming up with possible solutions then presenting to the rest of the IT staff.
Jon has already had a terrific and desired impact upon Corporate IT by shouldering some of the helpdesk load, allowing
others a chance to devote more time to critical issues and projects. We look forward to continuing Jon’s education and
experience as he continues to make an impact as a valued member of our team.
