Announcements and Opening Prayer June 8, 2014
1. Opening Prayer (In Unison)
Almighty God, we thank you for the opportunity to serve in your work; a work that involves us
in something greater than ourselves, a work that transcends the mundane pursuits of this
world. We realize that we are stewards of this privilege and we must give an account for this
stewardship. We understand that you look for faithfulness, and pray that faithfulness be evident
in the service we give. May we be eager to use the talents and resources that we have
received from you, to advance your kingdom through the opportunities given to us. Help us not
grow weary in well doing, even when the task becomes difficult and fails to produce
immediate results. Let us never give up. Let Your Spirit lead us. Amen.
Unison Scripture Reading: Matthew 6:9-15 (NIV)
9
“This, then, is how you should pray: “‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, 10
your
kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. 11
Give us today our daily bread. 12
Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. 13
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one. 14
For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your
heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15
But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father
will not forgive your sins.

God, we love you and the genuine expression of love is giving. You showed your love for us
first by giving us your Son. We demonstrate our love for you by giving now a portion of
what you have given to us. We give freely. We give cheerfully. We will not rob you. Instead,
we will worship you by giving from our heart.
You are our #1 priority. We will not treat banks or bills better than we treat you because you
deserve all the glory, the honor and the praise. We refuse to live under a curse. Therefore, in
obedience to your Word, we bring our tithe and our offering to you today.
PUT your promise into action! Open the windows of heaven and provide what we need for
our desires and our destiny!
POUR into our lives the phenomenal and spectacular by releasing a blessing that is beyond
our wildest dreams!
PROTECT everything that we currently have and do not permit the enemy to abort
anything that you are trying to give us for our future.
The tithe is what we owe, the offering is seed we sow. We sow now with the expectation of
jobs and better jobs, of businesses and greater businesses, of raises and bonuses, of houses
and land, of freedom from debt and supernatural increase. Bless us indeed and enlarge our
6. territory as we live for your glory. Alleluia! In the mighty, matchless and miraculous name of
Jesus, we confess. Amen!
