Animals are multicellular organisms that feed on other living things as consumers. Their cells group together to form tissues, organs, and systems. There are four nutritional processes in animals: taking in and digesting food, taking in oxygen, distributing substances throughout the body, and excreting waste residues. Most animals have a digestive system like a digestive tract with organs such as a stomach and intestines to aid in digestion.
