The document analyzes the content of four antinutritional factors - lectin, saponin, trypsin inhibitor, and phytic acid - in 56 varieties of common beans. The study found varying levels of each antinutritional factor across varieties. For example, lectin content ranged from 0.595 to 4.361 mg/g, saponin ranged from 2.810 to 7.856 mg/g, trypsin inhibitor ranged from 0.016 to 4.296 mg/g, and phytic acid ranged from 2.789 to 3.714 mg/g. The goal of the study was to screen bean varieties for low or non-toxic levels of antinutritional factors.

Plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) facilitate the plant growth and enhance their
induced systemic resistance (ISR) against a variety of environmental stresses. In this study,
we carried out integrative analyses on the proteome, transcriptome, and metabolome to investigate
Arabidopsis root and shoot responses to the well-known PGPR strain Paenibacillus
polymyxa (P. polymyxa) E681. Shoot fresh and root dry weights were increased, whereas root
length was decreased by treatment with P. polymyxa E681. 2DE approach in conjunction
with MALDI-TOF/TOF analysis revealed a total of 41 (17 spots in root, 24 spots in shoot)
that were differentially expressed in response to P. polymyxa E681. Biological process- and
molecular function-based bioinformatics analysis resulted in their classification into seven different
protein groups. Of these, 36 proteins including amino acid metabolism, antioxidant,
defense and stress response, photosynthesis, and plant hormone-related proteins were upregulated,
whereas five proteins including three carbohydrate metabolism- and one amino
acid metabolism-related, and one unknown protein were down-regulated, respectively. A good
correlation was observed between protein and transcript abundances for the 12 differentially
expressed proteins during interactions as determined by qPCR analysis. Metabolite analysis
using LC-MS/MS revealed highly increased levels of tryptophan, indole-3-acetonitrile (IAN),
indole-3-acetic acid (IAA), and camalexin in the treated plants. Arabidopsis plant inoculated
P. polymyxa E681 also showed resistance to Botrytis cinerea infection. Taken together these
results suggest that P. polymyxa E681 may promote plant growth by induced metabolism and
activation of defense-related proteins against fungal pathogen.

physical, psychological and social consequences. Obesity refers to the state of being
grossly fat or overweight. Though proper medications have not been framed for it’s
cure, the amount of money and hard work invested for formulating a solution
regarding this affair is massive. Developing natural products from fruits and
vegetables with bioactivities into anti-disease agents has become a hot spot in
research. In a similar case, anthocyanins are found to be extra attractive, as they
have been proved to show anti-obesity effects. Not just considering this water
soluble vacuolar pigment as a medicine, but making it as a part of one’s daily diet
would help reduce the complexity in attempting to lose weight, that has been
gained unnecessarily. Thus, understanding the medicinal avails of anthocyanin and
implementing it as a part of one’s diet would be a more effective strategy for
approaching obesity and related predicaments.

Despite evidence that sex and genetic background are key factors in the response to diet, most studies of how diet regulates metabolic health and even longevity in mice examine only a single strain and sex.
Using multiple strains and both male and female mice, Dr Lamming's team has found that improvements in metabolic health and in longevity in response to reduced levels of protein or specific amino acids strongly depend on sex and strain. While some phenotypes were conserved across strains and sexes, including increased glucose tolerance and energy expenditure, they observed high variability in adiposity, insulin sensitivity, and circulating hormones. Using a multi-omics approach, they identified mega-clusters of differentially expressed hepatic genes, metabolites, and lipids associated with each phenotype, gaining new insight into role of the energy balance hormone FG21 in the response to protein restriction.

Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

Processing of field pea varieties :
Soaking :The cleaned field pea seeds were soaked in distilled water (1:4 w/v) for 12
hours at room temperature, andthen washed and rinsed with distilled water.
Dehulling :After soaking the seeds overnight (12 hours), hulls were removed manually.
Roasting : Seeds soaked for 4 hours, sun dried and then roasted in an open pan.
Germination: Soaked seeds (12 hrs) were kept in Petridishes lined with wet filter paper
for germination in anincubator at 37ºC for 24 hours.

processing methods. Additionally, it is important to note that these factors may
