What is Android?
 Android is a mobile operating
system(OS) based on the Linux
kernel and currently developed by
Google,With a user interface based
on direct manipulation.
 Android is designed
primarily for touch screen mobile devices such as smart
phones and tablet computers.

 It was founded by Andy Rubin
(employee of Google) in 2003,
in a place called Palo Alto in California.

LOLLIPOP 5.0
 Android "Lollipop", or simply "Android L",
is the latest version of the Android mobile
operating system developed by Google ,
spanning versions between 5.0 and 5.1.
 One of the most prominent changes
in the Lollipop release is a redesigned
user interface built around a design
language called as "material design".
 Other changes include improvements
to the notifications.
 Google also made internal changes to the platform, with the Android
Runtime (ART) officially replacing Dalvik for improved application
performance.
