Recommendation
Sarah Zimmerdahl Josefsen was employed as a teaching assistant (TA) in the period
of September 2014 to June 2015 in the following courses: Digital Representations and
Digital Models. These two courses are parts of the Information Studies bachelor
education at Aarhus University. The courses introduce first year students to basic web
programming on both client- and server side. Sarah had the responsibility of
facilitating group- and class sessions, a study club as well as marking the students’
weekly assignments and semester projects.
Sarah both showed the correct academic competences as well as good pedagogical
skills in conveying the content of the course before and during the employment
period. During her own exam in the course Digital Representations she demonstrated
this, which led me to encourage her to apply for the position as TA in my course.
I can strongly recommend Sarah due to her professionalism, commitment and
pedagogical communication skills.
