I am responsible for creating a new model for the support center. This involves designing workshops and programs,
coordinating schedules, creating materials, marketing and liaising with university departments, tutoring, and IELTS
preparationcourses. There hasbeenahuge amountof successina short time.
Coordinator - program level,January 2015-December 2016
I started this role as ZU ABP was bringing in a new EAP curriculum, so I was responsible for coordinating the
implementation of this. I coordinated teams of up to 30 teachers and 400 students. Thisinvolved dealing with level
questions, issues and problems that arise on a daily basis as well as arranging and chairing regular level meetings.
This needed excellent communication skills as well as in depth knowledge of the new curriculum. I also cre ated
calendars and work plans for the level and designed new systems to streamline processes in the level. A part of the
job was to arrange and administer regular PD sessions to ensure that members of faculty were up to speed with the
new work-plans and EAP methodology. I was also responsible for the management of level determined
assessments with my coordinator counterpart in Dubai. I liaised regularly with the assessment supervisor and
curriculum supervisor regarding all aspects of the ABP system. During my time as coordinator, I created and
coordinatedthe implementationof the following:
Integrated Skills Project: Developed the project over 2 years. Created a website for students and EXPO to showcase
the projects.
Reflective portfolio and Learning Portfolio: Developed a reflective learning portfolio as an alternative form of
assessment.

Speaking Exams for EGAP 3: Developed an alternative speaking-test for the level, which includes research and
academicdiscussion.
Lecture Series: Created a series of lectures to run alongside the program to prepare students for their studiesin the
Academy.
