PENGINDERAAN
Danang Amrulloh
SISTEM
PENGINDERAAN
SKIN
01
Skin is the largest organ of the body and
serves to
• Protect against injury
• Protect against SUN UV rays
• Prevent entry of harmful microorganism
• Maintain the internal body temperature
• Excrete waste materials through
perspiration
• Function as a sense organ
EPIDERMIS
• Outer most layer
DERMIS
• Nerves, vessels, glands,
hair follicles
EAR
02
AURICLE/ PINNA
• Made of elastic
cartilage
• Helix rim
• Lobule (ear
lobe)
EXTERNAL
AUDITORY
CANAL
• Lies within
temporal bone
and connects to
ear drum
• Contents
ceruminous
glands which
secrete ear wax
TIMPANIC
MEMBRANE
• Epihelial and
simple cuboideal
• Changes
acoustic energy
into mechanical
energy
THE EXTERNAL
EAR
AUDITORY OSSICLES
• Malleus – attached to
ear drum, articulates
with incus
• Incus - articulates
with stapes
• Stapes – footplate of
stapes fits into oval
window
AUDITORY
(EUSTACHIAN) TUBE
• Is a route for
pathogens to travel
from nose and throat
to ear causing OTITIS
MEDIA
• During swallowing
and yawning it opens
to equal pressure in
middle ear
THE MIDDLE EAR
THE INNER EAR
• Auditory liquids : vibration travel through this liquid
• Organ of Corti : sensitive auditory receptor, are tiny
hair like
COCHLEA
Leads from the oval
window, small, snail
shaped, has 2 parts
• Receive sound vibrations from the auditory liquids
and end in the auditory center of the cerebral cortex
AUDITORY NERVE
FIBERS
• Connect the cochlea to 3 semicircular canals for
balance
VESTIBULE
SEMICIRCULAR
CANALS

TONGUE
04
 The tongue is a muscular organ
situated in the floor of the mouth
 It associated with function of speech,
mastication and deglutition
 It has an oral part that lies in the
mouth and pharyngeal part that lies in
the pharynx
TONGUE
MATA
05
EYE
It is spherical in shape
It is about 2,5 cm in diameter
Situated in the orbital cavity
A
 “White of the eye”
 Dense fibrous connective tissue
 Contains blood vessels and insertion site for extrinsic eye muscle
A
 Thin transporting epitelium
 Continuos with the sclera, covering iris and pupil
IRIS
 “Color part of the eye”
 Creates and adjust the pupil
 Contains blood vessels, pigment cells, loose connective
tissue and pupillary muscle
 Regulates amounts of light
LENS
 Focuses image on the retina
 Closely packed concentric columnar cells
BODY
 Ring of smooth muscle around lens
 Regulates the shape of the lens for accomodation
LIGAMENTS
 Attach the ciliary body to the lens
RETINA
 Lines the posterior part of the eye
 Held in place by the vitreous
 Contains light-sensitive photoreceptors
CHOROID
 Pigmented to absorp excess light
 Supplies the retina with nutrients and oxygen via blood
supply
