2. „Genie‟ is a short comedy film made by “Dead Right Hand”
productions who upload several short comedy films onto
their channel on YouTube. I am going to analyse this film
as it fits in with the Genre of our production and would
allow me to analyse it according to the concepts our
own production is based on.

off, the logo of the production
company is presented. This is
to inform the audience who is
behind the production and
what sort of films they make as
well as to add interest towards
the film.
This is followed by the opening
scene, consisting of an
establishing shot, letting the
audience know where the
opening sequence is set and
who is in it.

present in the second scene and allows
a clear view of what is taking place.
In the next scene, an over the
shoulder shot is used to show the
audience what conversation is
taking place and what is being
said. It also allows the audience
to see what facial expressions the
character is making and what
they are feeling at the time.
