2. Why did I pick this song?
I decided to pick 'Heartbreaker' by Natalie Major because I really like the song. I also
picked this song because I could envision the music video. Since this song is at a fast
pace I would be able to do a lot of different techniques when I film, which I wouldn't be
able to do if I was doing a slow song for a music video.
3. 1st verse:
I got the words that will bruise
your ego, bring you to your
knees.
I got the heat that will make your
feet burn when they – to me.
Oh
Girl close the windows and the
cracks in the doors. Make it hard
for you to breathe Give you a
taste to what you do to them.
The line "Give you a taste to what you do
to them ." This could suggest that she's
going to retaliate. Instead of taking his
heart, she will take girl's hearts in order for
them to become heartless enough to
become a heartbreaker.
The first line "I got the words that will
bruise your ego". In my opinion I believe
this could suggest that the girl is no longer
allowing herself to get heartbroken, so
she's going to stand up for herself and do
something about it.
4. Chorus:
And oh, it feels so good.
And it feels right, I’m on the
outside of all this.
Ima standby --------------------
------------------------ The
tables turn, and I’m not
gonna take it any longer.
So ima be your
heartbreaker.
In the chorus "I'm on the outside of all
this.". This could suggest that now that
she's doing the heart breaking it no
longer hurts her, she could possibly feel
more powerful
The last line in the chorus is "So ima be
your heartbreaker." This line tells the
audience that the man and woman's role
has changed, she's no longer inferior,
she's now the one who's in control.
5. 2nd Verse:
We can do this as long as you
please, but I’m not giving in.-------
-------------
And you and me, we’re one in the
same -----------and don’t it feel so
good.
3rd verse:
I won’t be your victim.
What is this world you’re
living? -------------
You won’t get me back.
In the second verse, it says "but
I'm not giving in." This can
connote that she's not going to
back down, and she'll continue on
doing so.
In the third verse, it says "What is
this world you're living?". This can
suggest to the audience that
although she's doing the same thing
he does, she doesn't understand
why he would do it in the first place.
