3. Project objective
• To increase the awareness among the beneficiaries
(both women and adolescent girls) about the basic
cause of anaemia and the process of prevention.
• To aware the adolescent girls and school-going
students of menstrual hygiene, hand washing, and
other health-related issues.
• To promote different supplementary activities like
promotion of kitchen garden program, cooking
demonstration for nutritional food preparation,
and distribution of lemon seedlings.

• Capacity Building of Young girls on Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights focusing on anemia
prevention and balanced and diversified food intake.
• Screening of anaemia among women and adolescent and tract on regular interval.
• Counselling of women and adolescents for mild to moderate aneamia.
• Referral of severe anemic patients to nearest public health center.
• Capacity Building of women of reproductive age on anemia prevention, balanced diet, pregnancy
care.
• Promotion handwash at Anganwadi centers and schools and distribution of hygiene and safety kits
to adolescents.
• Demo-based nutrition awareness to the care givers of the adolescents and women.
• Promotion of Kitchen garden through demonstration.
• Plantation of Lemon tree (citrus plants).
• Provide Nutri-Mix to the anemic girls and women.
• Community Meeting to make them aware on anaemia and its prevention.
• Orientation of elected representatives of panchayats, SHG leaders, community leaders on
different Govt. schemes to enable them to facilitate the reach of the beneficiaries to those
schemes.
6. Outcome
• 210 adolescent girls has been screened for Hb testing
and recovered from Anemia
• 40 pregnant and lactating mother recovered from
anemia
