2.  Ameriserve Repiping began operations in 1976
out of Van Nuys, California. Ameriserve Piping
excels in the installation of PEX pipes, as
opposed to copper systems.
PEX piping became a preferable alternative to
copper plumbing pipes in America during the
late 1990s. PEX piping has been used in other
countries, however, for decades without issue.
PEX piping is sold in three colors to help
plumbers separate the lines; red is used for hot
water, blue for cold, and white for any other
line the plumber or property owner might
require.

3.  PEX is often chosen over copper due to
lower prices. Not only is the material itself
much cheaper than copper, but PEX
installations cost less, the pipes are less likely
to corrode due to acidic water and require
replacements, and PEX can help cut back
on utility bills. PEX is much more
comparable to PVC piping in terms of
price, though PEX is still preferred on the
grounds of being more flexible and less
likely to burst during extremely cold
weather.
