2. The Actors.
The images used behind the Actors’ names are associated with the parts they play in American Horror Story:
Coven. The images are also used to represent things to do with the stereotypical witch. These titles may give
the viewer an idea of what to expect; things such as dark magic and magic associated with the devil.

3. The Title.
Throughout the opening title sequence, all relevant titles have been written in the same font to
add to the effect of the images behind the writing. The font adds more effect because it is out of
the ordinary which American Horror Story: Coven, has set out to be. To the right of the title, bits
of newspaper clippings from the witch trials in Salem have been added to add more of a
supernatural atmosphere.

5. In between the titles.
In between the titles, there are video clips showing what a stereotypical witch would be seen to be doing. Such as rituals and sacrifices
and playing with voodoo. This sets the atmosphere for American Horror Story: Coven. The screenshot of the video clip in the middle
shows a woman standing in front of a light with a shadow on the ceiling, this represents that what you can see with a blind eye, may be
just as deceiving.
