To make soccer more appealing to American audiences, a new format called "Ameriball" is proposed that modifies the rules: it would use an altered field with 8 teams, rename the sport, and feature an elimination style of play where the weakest teams are targeted and removed from the game after giving up 3 goals, until only two teams remain to compete in a final match to determine the winner.
