_ По данным опроса Research and Branding Group, 77% украинцев не были за рубежом ни
разу. А украинцев, побывавших дальше России, Египта и Турции - например в странах ЕС,
США или Канаде, - 17%, констатируют результаты совместного исследования фонда
Демократические инициативы и Центра Разумкова. Киевский международный институт
социологии выяснил, что 36% из них не выезжали даже за пределы родного региона.
_ В то же время, согласно данным Eurostat, ежегодно за границей бывают 76% бельгийцев,
53% голландцев, 40% словаков, 32,5% немцев и 15% поляков. Для сравнения: из
Украины каждый год выезжают за рубеж лишь около 5% ее жителей. Кроме того, в
Германии, Австрии, Словакии, Чехии 90% молодежи как минимум однажды побывали за
границей. В то время как аналогичный показатель для украинцев - лишь около 22%.
_ По мнению экспертов, украинцы мало путешествуют из-за низкого достатка: по данным
Центра Разумкова, 41% соотечественников их доходов хватает только на питание и товары
первой необходимости, а еще 14% еле сводят концы с концами. Корреспондент пишет, что
не способствуют дальним путешествиям и визовые барьеры и консерватизм,
выработавшийся еще во времена СССР с его железным занавесом.
