  • #23 When the VSD knows the pump curve of the specific pump it is driving the drive can derive not just process data used for optimisation but it can also detect non desirable (or even damaging) operating points. The most prominent of these functions are the high / low flow protection functions (cavitation protection) and derating the nominal power of the pump in real-time depending on the temperature of the pump.
