Objective(s): This study was aimed at investigating the synergy effects of Aloe vera gel and silver nanoparticles on the healing rate of the cutting wounds. Materials and Methods: In order to determine the concentration of silver nanoparticles in Aloe vera gel, the MBC methods were applied on the most common bacteria infecting wounds, Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa. The cutting wounds with Full-thickness skin were dorsally created on rats; then the rats were divided into 4 groups. The treatments groups included: mixture of Aloe vera gel and silver nanoparticles, Aloe vera gel alone and silver nanoparticles alone in addition to control groups. The treatment was carried out for 2 weeks and the size of the wound closures were measured by an image software analysis. Results:There was no significant difference (p<0.05) in healing rate between the control and mixture group. However, there were significant differences between the silver nanoparticles and Aloe vera groups using Tukey’s analysis on the 6th, 8th and 10th days. Conclusion:The Aloe vera gel increased the rate of wound healing whereas the silver nanoparticles had a delay effect; and when they were mixed, it was similar to the average effect of both Aloe vera gel and silver nanoparticles.

Antimicrobial activity of the aerial parts of the Elytraria acaulis a stem less perennial herb of Acantheceae family has been carried out in the present study. Extracts of the aerial parts of the plant (Stem & Leaves) were prepared in different organic solvents such as n-Hexane, Ethanol, Methanol and Ethyl acetate. All the extracts were analyzed for antimicrobial properties against various pathogenic bacterial infections (Escherichia coli, Klebsiella Species, and Salmonella Typhi). Amongst all the extracts, methanolic extract exhibited significant antimicrobial activity. The crude methanol extracts of leaves showed good inhibitory effects against pathogens. Hence further studies on this plant will enable elucidation of its therapeutic properties and medicinal applications.

Eucalyptus camaldulensis is a tree of the genus Eucalyptus widely distributed in Algeria and in the world. The value of its aromatic secondary metabolites offers new perspectives in the pharmaceutical industry. This strategy can contribute to the sustainable development of our country. These Eucalyptus camendulensis: has been selected for screening antibacterial. Preliminary tests performed on the essential oil of Eucalyptus camendulensis showed that this oil has antibacterial activity vis-à-vis the bacterial strains (Enterococcus feacalis, Enterobacter cloaceai, Proteus microsilis, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae and Pseudomonas aeruginosa) and antifungic (Fusarium sporotrichioide and Fusarium graminearum). The culture medium used was nutrient broth Muller Hinton. The interaction between the bacteria and the essential oil is expressed by a zone of inhibition with diameters of MIC indirectly expression of. And we used the PDA medium to determin the fungic activity. The extraction of the aromatic fraction (essentially oil- hydrolat) of the fresh aerian part of the Eucalyptus camendulensis was performed by hydrodistillation. The average essential oil yield is 0.99%. The antimicrobial and fungal study of the essential oil and hydrosol showed a high inhibitory effect on the growth of pathogens.

The experiment was carried out to investigate the antimicrobial property of aqueous and Petroleum ether leaf extracts of Jatrophacurcas against some gram positive micro-organisms: Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus subtilis and some gram negative micro-organisms: Escherichia coli, Salmonella typhi using antibiotics; Gentamycin as control. The phytochemical screening of aqueous and petroleum ether extracts showed the presences of cardiac glycosides, steroids and terpenes, tannins, phlobatannins, anthraguinones and saponins. The disc diffusion techniques was used to test the sensitivity of the micro-organism to the extracts of Jatrophacurcas the results obtained show mean zones of inhibition between (19 + 0.6mm) to (30 + 0.3mm) for aqueous extract and (24 + 0.5mm) to (35 + 0.8mm) for petroleum ether extract. Micro-organisms showed sensitivity in the following order: E.coli;(17 + 0.3mm) and (25 + 0.8mm), S.aureus; (26 + 0.2mm) and (28 + 0.6mm), B.subtilis; (16 + 0.1mm) and (20 + 0.7mm), and S.typhi (25 + 0.2mm) and (27 + 0.6mm) for aqueous and petroleum ether extracts respectively. The minimum inhibition concentration (MIC) for both extracts show that the extracts inhibited the growth of the entire test organism at concentration 0.6mg/ml. This result thus suggests the potency of Jatrophacurcas as an antimicrobial agent especially at the concentration employed.

Alopecia areata is a common cause of hair loss seen in 3.8% of patients in dermatology clinics and in 0.2% to 2.0% of the general US population. The pathology of the disease remains poorly understood. Hair loss in alopecia areata can range from a single patch to 100% loss of body hair. When hair regrowth occurs in alopecia areata, the new hair may demonstrate pigment alterations, but a change in hair texture (i.e, curly or straight) has rarely been reported as a consequence of alopecia areata.

PERSONALIZED REALLY PERSONALIZED WHAT WORKS FOR ONE PERSON, DOESN’T NECESSARILY WORK FOR ALL. MEDICAL AESTHETICS IS NO EXCEPTION. SPORTS AND EXERCISE IS NO EXCEPTION. We are all different, both physically and genetically, and we are different in the way that we respond to aging, skincare and exercise. Some of these differences are due to our lifestyle and the environment we live in, but recent scientific advances have shown that VARIATIONS IN OUR DNA ALSO HAVE A BIG PART TO PLAY. WE’RE COMMITTED TO TAKE PERSONALIZATION OF YOUR TREATMENT TO THE NEXT LEVEL. WHERE ANTI-AGING MEETS SCIENCE. Although you can’t change your genetics, science now has proven you can dramatically change how your genes affect your skin. Genetic testing used to be limited to the world of forensic analysis and parental identity, but with the unraveling of the complete human genome in 2003 its applications have been growing. The 2008 represented the true beginning of a personal genomics era: TIME MAGAZINE'S INVENTION OF THE YEAR was the retail DNA test. But on the market, you find just DNA-tests, not native DNA-personalized treatments. Companies are providing you a report. Suisse Life Science use natively genetics and a report in order to provide you a DNA-personalized treatment. Your DNA determines when you start showing signs of aging how quickly and at what rate your concerns could worsen, which is unique to you. Genetics creates a new class of ANTI-AGING technology. The luxury of a customized ANTI-AGING professional treatment PROGRAM made specifically for you. GENETICS + Science of [DNA] f(x)™ + COMBINATION THERAPY = [iD]DNA® ultra-custom biologically active treatments The great innovation of the [iD]DNA® ultra-custom program is that the genetic guidance permits to adjust the right treatment, the correct dosage, and the best frequency according to your organism’s needs. Specific deficits. Individual benefits. PRECISION ANTI-AGING TREATMENTS. NO MORE GUESSWORK, no more buying products that feel like they might help. There is no one size fits all for our customers. We replaced anti-aging guesswork with GENETICALLY-DESIGNED cosmeceuticals OTC (over-the-counter) and nutricosmetics supplements. Discover how [iD]DNA® works on www.idna.works.

Herbal extracts are used in dentistry for treatment of various dental disorders. The natural photochemical could offer an effective alternative to antibiotics and represent a promising approach to prevention and therapeutic strategies for various oral infections. The herbal remedies have an edge over conventional antibiotic treatment that suffer the limitation of low benefit to high risk as compared to herbal treatment that possess high benefit to low-risk ratio. The literature shows that several herbal formulations have the capacity to control the production of proinflammatory mediators, thereby managing many inflammatory processes. The use of such herbal anti-inflammatory formulations for a longer period of time was found to be safer than that of chemical anti-inflammatory drugs.Studies for assessment of safety and efficacy of herbal remedies are in its infancy. These herbal remedies are expected to widely use in future. There are much more opportunities for further research in the utility of herbal remedies for oral diseases.
