This proposal requests funding to design and build a handicap-accessible garden and walkway for a woman with ALS. The goal is to give her a safe area to garden and walk to aid in her well-being. The project would include installing a raised, rail-lined walkway with miniature garden beds and a resting area. A literature review provides justification for how a garden can benefit one's mental health. The plan outlines the backyard space, proposed designs created in Solidworks, and addresses factors like ensuring accessibility, drainage and sunlight. Funding of $2,000 is requested from the organization's philanthropy events and donations.
