Patrick McGuire is an outstanding teacher, school administrator and district leader. He has
served the Community Unit School District 303 efficiently and effectively for the past 12 years. I
have had the privilege of working with Dr. McGuire as a CUSD303 teacher and as the Summer
School Principal at Fox Ridge Elementary School during the 2011 & 2012 school years.
Early in the spring of each year Dr. McGuire outlined the summer school program and
personally met with several in-district elementary school principals to help promote the benefits
of the program. He served as an excellent principal whose leadership and management skills
were some of the best I have ever encountered.
Dr. McGuire willingly met with every teacher and continually looked for ways to improve learning
through instructional strategy conversations. He focused on the collaborative model and created
an educational atmosphere where all individuals could succeed.
Dr. McGuire’s staff shared a positive working environment, always focusing on optimal service
and a commitment to excellence. His personal commitment to processes, procedures and
outstanding organizational skill allow him to be proactive in all educational and managerial
operations to this day.
Patrick McGuire is always involved in his students and team’s successes. He is a reflective
individual who shares the importance of service with everyone he meets. His colleagues and
staff at all levels know that Patrick’s passion for transparency, colleague and parent
communication, teacher success, and the success of his learning community is true. He is an
exceptional role model and serves as a leader who models the importance of being a person of
integrity and truth.
Patrick McGuire continues to focus on what is best for students, teachers, principals, his
colleagues and his learning community. He would be a fine addition to any district nationwide.
