4. Describe the problem statement (200 words)
WomenUp
“Your safety is our priority”
Women play a very vital role in human progress and have a significant place in society. They are capable of sharing all the
responsibilities of life. Man and woman have been rightly compared to the wheels of the same carriage. But when it comes to giving
them proper comfort, safety & security, there is a lack of proper initiatives.
On the other hand, Violence against women in India is more present than it may appear at first glance, as many expressions of
violence, are not considered crimes, or may otherwise go unreported or undocumented due to certain Indian cultural values and
beliefs. These all reasons contribute to India's Gender Inequality Index rating of 0.629 in 2022, putting it in the bottom 10% of ranked
countries for that year.
Here, I have come up with an idea to solve this situation & give proper protection to all women through the WoomenUp initiative.
5. Proposed strategy / Business solution (200 words)
Competitive landscape and uniqueness of the proposed solution (150 words)
1. Basically, WomenUp is an initiative where quality security will be provided to women with minimum subscription fees.
2. At first, their basic details like name, mobile number, guardian's name, address, etc relevant things will be asked. Also, their daily traveling places
will be noted.
3. After giving the details they’ll be provided with a GPS locator or transmitter, also the app will always trace their movement if allowed.
4. Then after knowing their territories, a group of trained women (2-3 TW for each woman) will be appointed for the women’s security & they’ll track
the users when the users want to (When they are traveling).
5. There will be two states of urgency - 1. Moderate (10.00 - 17.00) 2.Emergency (17.00 - 4.00) (urgency can be changed according to users'
choices & suggestions).
6. If any kind of signal (for help) is sent by the users through their GPS tracker or phone.
i) ASAP our team will reach out to them. ii) Nearby police station & their family will be informed of her location instantly.
7. They can also buy items to give an electric shock to the suspects & primary self-defense techniques will be taught.
When it comes to the competitive landscape, this initiative provides multiple features where in the market are not many initiatives like this but
apps like Himmat, Raksha, and Safetipin have provided partial solutions but were unable to address the larger pic.
The uniqueness of this app can be explained as –
i) It’ll provide an entire package of security to the women of India & their long pending requirements.
ii) It would help India to regain its image back and women in our country (including foreigners) will start feeling more safer.
iii) It’ll be a game-changing initiative and women of our country will be able to work all the time without worrying much.
6. Go-to market plan and revenue model (150 words)

While launching the services my go-to-market plan would be –
i) I’ll Market the product in both online and offline marketing to draw maximum customers & create a first mover advantage.
ii) Make the product a little lower than the reservation price & aware the customers of the benefits of the product in daily life.
iii) By maximizing the market segment from working women to school students will result in a competitive advantage.
iv) Also, there are not any players who are providing this sort of service with so many features.
Revenue model:
i) So, basically my service would be based on a subscription model that would be affordable.
ii) The subscription is classified by monthly plan, half-yearly & annual based.
iii) First there would be a trial and after that, the paid service will commence.
iv) Also, for various accessories extra charge would be there.
The benefits & the impact of this initiative are going to be enormous –
i) Woman will feel more secure & their participation in various fields will increase significantly.
ii) All the resources will be available to women fairly and it’ll help to reduce gender discrimination.
iii) Whether it’s a working woman at late night or a student from coaching or school, they’ll be safe while traveling.
iv) Women will be able to contribute toward country-making & they can make their own identity.
v) Women will get employment through this initiative & all the women will feel more financially independent.
vi) And last but not least this initiative will provide women all over India with more freedom & confidence.
