damage to any weapons systems)
0% self-sustained injuries or Marines left in my charge
Conducted perimeter security, badge checking, regulation enforcement and detainment of
shipyard workers in Newport News shipyard. Was Shift leader in charge of 8 armed posts, not
including self. Ensured Marines had all necessary equipment for success on post that included
3. the guarding special nuclear material for the CVN-65 Enterprise as it de-fueled its nuclear
reactors. Conducted full guard mount to assess gear, weapons and mental capacity of Marines
before going on post for 8 hour rotating shift. On off-time was also in command of 12 man
quick-reaction force charged with responding to high-level threats and situations. Maintained a
level of readiness at all times and created and executed quick-reaction drills.
Built a land navigation course from scratch with 20 mapped and verified points across 6 square
kilometers when the one in place was damaged beyond repair, so that training could be
conducted for junior Marines.
Served as an armory custodian briefly, and was in charge of all aspects from logistical counting,
documenting, and “sight-count” to monthly pre-fire inspections and functions checks of select
weapons, all without supervision from higher authority. 100% accountability was accomplished
