Sergeant in his absence; prepared the S-2 portion of operations orders and Area Studies; capable
of leading, training and advising up to Company-size indigenous force during combat operations
to include Direct Action (DA), Special Reconnaissance (SR), Unconventional Warfare (UW),
and Foreign Internal Defense (FID). Supervised all aspects of the Battalion Focal Point Activities
Cell, managing sensitive credentialing for 40+ Focal Point Operators. Screened, vetted and
recommended for nomination seven service members for Advanced Training. Served as
Battalion Master Jumpmaster; mentored and directed 27 Static Line Jumpmasters through 32
Airborne operations without incident. Performed duties as Battalion Operations Sergeant,
successfully managing all aspects of Rear Detachment S3 tasking with minimal available
manning. Conducted USASOC Static Line Jumpmaster course, serving as Senior Instructor with
a 92% graduation rate. Developed and delivered a pre-combat rotation briefing to incoming

Served as the Assistant Operations and Intelligence Sergeant on a Special Forces Operational
Detachment Alpha (SFODA) in support of USCENTCOM Area of Responsibility; responsible
for planning, training, supervising and executing all aspects of battlefield intelligence gathering
2. and analysis. Acted as the Operations Sergeant in his absence; prepared the S-2 portion of
operations orders and Area Studies. Analyzed the battle space providing the ODA and AOB
with actionable intelligence to decrease high profile attacks within eastern Afghanistan.
Instrumental in building invaluable inter-agency relationships, increasing the Detachment’s
intelligence sharing and collection efforts in Afghanistan. Sought out by 18+ Intelligence
Sergeants throughout the Battalion for expertise and experience. Served as split team NCOIC
during 45 combat operations both mounted and dismounted operations, resulting in 35+ EKIA.
Trained three Detachment members in all aspects of Intelligence gathering, increasing the ODA's
intelligence collection capability. Shared knowledge of combat operations from 10 Afghanistan
combat tours with all members of the ODA. Maintained 100% accountability of $200K worth of
Detachment surveillance equipment, resulting in zero loss or compromise. Served as split team
NCOIC during an intense fire fight lasting three hours, resulting in three insurgent forces KIA.
Performed as Assistant Team Sergeant for eight months of combat operations. Trained 15 ODA
members on Advance Special Operations (ASO) techniques. Developed, implemented and
supervised the ODA Intelligence Cell, pioneering a collective effort resulting in a graphic
assessment of the Helmand and Logar Provinces. Mentored the Detachment during the planning,
preparation and execution of 93 combat operations. Represented the Detachment at the Red
Wings Memorial Fitness event in Virginia Beach. Trained 12 Jumpmasters in the MC-6
transition course.

Battalion Operations Sergeant
Served as the Operations NCO for a Special Forces Battalion organized in three Special Forces
Companies and a Headquarters Support company; coordinated schools, ranges, drop zones, and
training areas throughout the U.S.; supervised the support and operational execution of Battalion
operations contributing to Overseas Contingency Operations (OCO). Tracked and reconciled all
Battalion ammunition requests, expenditures and forecasts; led and directed a staff of 13
Soldiers, ensuring that functions of each section and staff members were operating effectively.
Facilitated timely fires, ISR and MEDEVAC support for ODAs and their partnered forces during
combat operations. Graduated 53 of 60 soldiers as an Instructor from the USASOC Jumpmaster
Course. Mentored Area Support Teams (ASTs) in synchronizing multiple combat operations
while executing timely resupply operations supporting engaged Detachments. Performed duties
as the Rear Detachment Sergeant Major, managing requirements from Group and Companies.
Provided oversight on Battalion schools, ammunition, air and taskings. Trained Battalion Staff
on the staffing process for off-post training events. Trained three companies (240+ Soldiers) in
Personnel Recovery and ISOPREP. Developed personnel recovery training that prepared Special
Forces Soldiers for operations in isolated areas of Afghanistan. Tracked 400+ training
documents including ranges, ammo and risk assessments.
