2. A Start-Up Laboratory
Al-Andalus Labs is an experimental organisation where ideas are
tested, startups are built and innovation in moves forward. We are
passionate about building new products, services, and companies.
We identify opportunities, diagnose problems, design solutions, then
build companies, products, and services to solve them.
We were concentrating our life on doing scientific research at a period of our life,
then we have discovered that something interesting is happening in the world and
around us, this thing is entrepreneurship and startups, so we said: "Why Not?", and
we decided to pivot from doing research to building products and startups that solve
small problems people facing in their life. We consider ourselves builders and hackers
with a mindset of researchers and scientists.

3. The Crazy Ones
We are a small team building and launching products. We’ve made a deliberate
choice to Al-Andalus Labs as an independent platform where experimentation is
welcome. We take the principles of venture capital combined with best practices
from the startup world to further corporate innovation. We're a small group of
former engineer, PhD students, failed entrepreneurs, students entrepreneurs,
and drop-outs building multiple businesses and products at a time.
We are risk takers, doers, problems solvers, and the makers of things. We are
aerospace engineers, physicists, and mathematicians turned builders, makers,
developers, designer, marketer, and entrepreneurs. We did not study computer
science, programming, and design at universities and schools. We learnt and
built our skills at students rooms, garages, and while travelling and sleeping in
hostels by doing, repeating, failing and get things done.

4. Our DNA
We do not build our products and services like a software developer, web
developer, or a computer engineer do. We build them like an aerospace
engineer builds an airplane or a spacecraft! More robust, more strong,
more easy to rebuild, user-friendly, more accurate, and “human factors
centered”. We use design thinking, systems dynamics, systems thinking,
data science, machine learning, simulation & modeling approaches when
we build them. Systematic Innovation of Products, Processes and Services
is our competitive advantage.
Simply, we disrupt industries and companies that don't care about their
customers or users, and don't make products people love.
