As a Database Administrator (DBA) expert, I led a critical project at Air Cargo, an aviation company, aimed at optimizing database management to enhance operational efficiency. The project focused on identifying regular customers, analyzing busiest routes, and generating detailed ticket sales reports to improve the customer experience and operational effectiveness. Key Accomplishments: Developed an ER (Entity-Relationship) diagram to optimize the airline's database structure. Implemented SQL queries and database tables for effective data management, covering customer details, travel information, ticket purchases, and route data. Enforced data integrity through constraints, ensuring unique flight numbers, route IDs, and distances greater than zero. Extracted valuable insights, such as identifying regular customers and calculating business class passenger revenue using SQL queries. Improved user experience with SQL functions for displaying full customer names and identifying registered customers with bookings. Utilized GROUP BY and HAVING clauses to pinpoint Economy Plus class passengers. Employed IF clauses to evaluate whether revenue surpassed a specified threshold. Created and granted access to a new user for database operations. Utilized window functions to find maximum ticket prices by class. Enhanced data extraction performance for specific route IDs and examined query execution plans. Implemented the ROLLUP function to calculate total ticket prices across various aircraft IDs. Organized data using views, including one for business class customers and airline brand information. Developed dynamic stored procedures to extract data based on user-defined criteria. Created a stored function within a stored procedure to specify complimentary services for different travel classes.
