AILET is an entrance exam for admission to the National Law University in Delhi. The exam is for the BA LLB (Hons) program which has 80 seats. To be eligible for AILET, applicants must have scored at least 50% marks in their 10+2 exams and be under 20 years old. The exam will be held on May 7th, 2017 and will consist of 150 multiple choice questions testing English, general knowledge, legal aptitude, reasoning, and basic mathematics. The syllabus covers comprehension, vocabulary, current affairs, legal propositions, logical reasoning, and math topics from 10th and 12th standards.

3. Eligibility:
Senior Secondary School Examination (10+2 System) or equivalent Examination with not less than
50% of marks in the aggregate
Candidate should be below 20 years (22 years in the case of SC/ST candidates) as on 1st of July of
the year of the exam.
Candidates who have appeared in Class 12th exam in May or April same year may also apply.
However, such candidates are requested to carry requisite documents to prove they have
passed with required marks.

5. Syllabus:
The exam shall be conducted in offline mode where the
paper will have 150 questions of objective (Multiple-Choice
Questions) nature.

6. Subject-wise syllabus:
English: The English section will consist of 35 questions from comprehension passages, synonyms,
antonyms, choosing correct words, idioms, phrases, jumbled words or sentences, fill in the blanks,
etc. The unseen passages will be followed by questions related to the passage. The English section is
meant to test language skills and vocabulary of candidates.
General Knowledge: The 35 questions of General Knowledge will cover topics like History,
Geography, General Science, Economics, Civics and Current Affairs of the past one year. This section
will assess your knowledge of the recent events in the world.

7. Subject-wise syllabus:
Basic Mathematics: This section will have 10 questions to test the numerical ability. The
Mathematics questions will be set from 10th and 12th level, of various topics including Profit and
Loss, Speed and Distance, Time and Work, Algebra, Average, Permutation and Combination and Venn
Diagrams.
Legal Aptitude: The section will test your interest in law, research aptitude, and problem-solving
ability. 35 questions will be framed on legal propositions and set of facts satisfying the propositions.
The propositions may not be true in a real sense but you will have to assume the true proposition
based on the set of facts and answer them accordingly.

Reasoning: There shall be 35 questions testing your logical and analytical reasoning skills. You will
