2. Introduction
This application is to outline the work that AIESEC UNSW has done in the past 12
months as an individual, a Team, and a Local Committee. We are very proud and
honoured to submit this for the July National awards for our achievement in
2009-2010 financial year.

5. ICX Growth
In 2009/2010, AIESEC UNSW experienced growth of 600%. 2 new partnerships with Google
Australia and the Centre for Social Impact account for this growth. Both these accounts will
be continued to be serviced and there will be continual re-raises.
Key to our success was strategic networking. Networking events account for a majority of our
leads, and we sought out events that were (a) tailored for companies wanting graduate talent
and (b) industry specific, one such industry was the IT sector.
We also approached companies with similar values to AIESEC, and were seeking for talent in
the not-for-profit sector. This lead us to the Centre for Social Impact.
6. Target Market & Initiatives
Target Market
AIESEC UNSW has identified the skills and IT market as a possible expansion, this is due to
the numerous TNs raised with Google Australia. As well as that, we are also interested in
renewable energy and engineering, to further underline our value of sustainability.
Initiatives
In collaboration with the rest of the region, AIESEC UNSW has been responsible for
organising a training session for the region, not only were we able to understand the whole
ICX process. We were also able to leverage off the talent of people in the team, and the
region. We have tailored our packages to suit individual businesses and companies, allowing
them to fully utilize the talent pool that AIESEC offers.
7. TN Taker Profile - Centre for Social Impact
The Centre for Social Impact opened a position for an
AIESEC intern at the end of 2009, to help in research and
report writing activities. AIESEC and CSI shared very
similar values to increasing awareness and education in
running a not-for-profit and increasing Corporate Social
Responsibility values in the community.
