growing sectors of the capital goods industry. It is one among
the top 10 sectors chosen under the Make in Indian Initiatives.

A long term policy will play a very vital role in the growth of food processing machinery sector.
Without any policy industry has reached to this level. Till 2014 India was exporting more than
importing machinery. After policy changes, demonetization and GST, growth has come down
and we are importing more machinery today. We must have a clear policy for the conducive
growth of this industry.
