wrote De Architectura and dedicated this book
to his patron, the emperor Caesar Augustus, as a
guide for building projects
- Three Virtues of Architecture
This formulation; for all its antiquity it remains a
useful framework for the preliminary analysis of a
building. Vitruvius gave us the ABC of
architecture.

Farming for 700SQM Home
Lot
General Objective:
The project aims to augment the aggregate
annual income of Sycayco family of at least
50% through integrated farming by
adopting organic technology and
contribute in the promotion of organic
farming and in the survival of our dying
mother nature.
30. Specific Objectives: The establishment of
integrated farming adopting organic
technology aims to:
๏ 1. Increase production of at least 50% annually and a
monthly income of more or less PhP10,400.00 starting year
2013;
๏ 2. Promote integrated farming by adopting organic
technology starting in 2013 on a 700-square meter piece of
land;
๏ 3. Hone the farming skills of the target proponent
through the application of integrated farming by adopting
organic farming technology;
๏ 4. Provide employment to at least 3-5 persons per
cropping season with daily wage of PhP150.00; and
๏ 5. Supply the daily food requirement of the family-
proponent starting the second quarter of the project
31. Project Description
The proposed project is an integrated farm that adopts
organic technology on a 600-square meter, more or less,
farm lot
32. ๏ The organic technology focuses on the production of
different high value commercial and cash crops like
carrots, lettuce, salad tomatoes, cucumber, and cacao
and the regular crops like ginger, turmeric, and string
beans.
๏ Other components of the integrated farm include
carabao raising, native chicken and swine raising, and
tilapia culture. The approaches to fertilizer uses, pests
and diseases control is purely organic. In which, raw
materials come from available farm wastes,
indigenous plants and crops that are easily found and
grown within the area or nearby areas.
33. The crop rotation will be practiced to maintain the fertility
and condition of the soil and habitat of micro organism. At
the start of the implementation of integrated farming
system, the organic inputs will be purchased.
34. For the remaining 100 square meters is allocated for the building
construction such as house and mini structure with a restaurant, a
warehouse and a display area for the post harvest handling and the
open space for the planting flowering plants and herbs as insect
repellant and attractant.
35. Financial Analysis.
The proposed project will have a total capital requirements of
PhP207,000.00. Out of PhP207,000.00, 76% or PhP158,240.00 will
be borrowed from the City Agriculture through the Department of
Agriculture under the Greening Program distributed as follows
36. The projected Income Statements for crop and livestock
production, and tilapia culture will have a combined average
net income of PhP331,213.79 for a three-year operations,
with Return on Investment of 160.01%. The computation
also reveals that it has a payback period of 1.21 years.
37. Savings Generation/mobilization
The proposed project also considers the generation of
savings for the family. In every sale, the family will set aside
at least 1% of the total sales for the family savings. In which,
later on the 50% of the total savings could be used for
expansion of the project
