9. The Procedure to become a
Life Insurance Agent
As per the guidelines issued by the I.R.D.A. any
person aspiring to take up Life Insurance Agency
has to undergo formal training for a period of
100 hours i.e. 15 to 18 days after which the person
can appear for an examination conducted by the
Insurance Institute of India. On successfully
passing this examination a License shall be
issued by the I.R.D.A.

On any standard policy that you procure you shall be
paid the following Commission Rates :
• 35% of 1st year
premium installments
• 7.5% of 2nd & 3rd
year installments
• 5% of every year till
maturity of the policy
