The document discusses a national groundwater monitoring programme in New Zealand that collects data from 112 sites across 15 regions. The data shows that 32% of groundwater is classified as "Natural Fresh" with little human impact, 26% is "Natural Evolved" with potential for higher levels of some parameters, and 42% is "Impacted" with elevated nitrate levels. Relating water quality to surrounding land use is difficult as recharge areas can be distant and travel times long, allowing natural processes to alter indicators over time. Groundwater age is also related to water quality, with younger water generally showing more impact.
Sumitomo Metal Mining Co.,- Hydrometallurgical Processing Plant For Low Grade...Archie Casey
The Project is located within the industrial facility of Rio Tuba Nickel Mining Corporation (RTNMC) in Brgy. Rio Tuba, Bataraza, Palawan.
Since 1977, RTNMC has been mining saprolitic nickel ores selling them to ferro-nickel smelters abroad. In more than 25 years of operation, it also generated mine wastes of about 25 million tonnes. Called low grade limonitic mine wastes, these are stockpiled around the mine area.
CBNC will process these stockpiles using the technology called HPAL or high pressure acid leach.

relativas à ampliação do acesso à banda larga.
ferramenta.

- The total number of broadband subscribers increased by 14 percent, to almost 1.5 million between June 2010 and June 2011.
- The largest growth rate of all broadband connections was in cellular, cable, and satellite connections. When combined, these increased almost 50 percent since June 2010.
- Almost 80 percent of broadband subscribers at June 2011 had a data cap of 5 gigabytes (GB) or more, with the most common cap between 5 and 20GB.
- The number of subscribers with an upload speed of 1.5Mbps or more increased by almost three quarters since 2010.
- The average subscriber consumed 9GB of data per month between June 2010 and June 2011.
- In the three months prior to 30 June 2011, 1.9 million New Zealanders had active Internet subscriptions via a mobile phone.

A Review of Zeolite Based Treatment Water Systems and Thier Applicability in ...Daniel Eyde
The revisions to the Clean Water Act, ever lower NPDES water discharge standards and competition for scarce water resources have increased the need for cost-effective water treatment products and applications. Many water treatment sites are remote and lack infrastructure, others are passive or semi-passisve wetlands and bioreactors whose effluent, while meeting discharge standards, still require additional treatment for turbidity, COD, BOD and pH adjustment. The use of natural zeolites, alone or in conjunction with other treatment technologies, have had success in mitigating amD/amR discharges, as well as heavy metals, turbidity, NH4+, Al, Mn and silica in coal and hard rock mining impacted effluents. In uranium mining areas and NURE impacted waters, treatment systems initially designed more for problems like for Three Mile Island and Fukushima have been effective in capturing radionuclides in both passive and active treatment systems, most recently at the Homestake Uranium Tailings at Grants, NM. The applicability of the ion exchange and filtration capabilities of zeolites, their ability to be used in passive treatment systems and their limitations are reviewed.

located in the emerging White Gold District, Yukon Territory. In 2010, Kaminak executed the first ever drill program on the
Coee property, and 9 separate and closely-spaced gold discoveries have been drilled to date within a 15km by 5km area.
All of these gold discoveries have been made by drilling directly underneath gold-in-soil anomalies. Lack of glaciation over
the Coee property has allowed in-situ soil-sampling to be employed as a highly eective and low cost exploration tool.
Presently, there are over 20km of untested soil anomalies on the property that warrant drill testing, and only 15% of the
150,000 acre property has experienced systematic grid soil sampling. e fully funded Phase One 2012 exploration
program includes a minimum of 50,000 metres of drilling with the objectives of expanding the high-priority zones along
strike and at depth, drilling new discoveries and identifying new drill targets through soil sampling. e results from the
2012 program are expected to lead to a maiden NI 43-101 compliant resource on the Coee property.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

Synthetic Fiber Construction in lab .pptxPavel ( NSTU)
Synthetic fiber production is a fascinating and complex field that blends chemistry, engineering, and environmental science. By understanding these aspects, students can gain a comprehensive view of synthetic fiber production, its impact on society and the environment, and the potential for future innovations. Synthetic fibers play a crucial role in modern society, impacting various aspects of daily life, industry, and the environment. ynthetic fibers are integral to modern life, offering a range of benefits from cost-effectiveness and versatility to innovative applications and performance characteristics. While they pose environmental challenges, ongoing research and development aim to create more sustainable and eco-friendly alternatives. Understanding the importance of synthetic fibers helps in appreciating their role in the economy, industry, and daily life, while also emphasizing the need for sustainable practices and innovation.

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

7. Why is it difficult to relate groundwater quality
to surrounding land use?
• It is land use in the aquifer’s
recharge zone that has the
potential to influence
groundwater quality, and the
recharge zone might be far
away from the monitoring
site.
• There may be a long travel unconfined
time from the recharge zone confined
to the well, such that the Impacted

date land use intensification.
• Indicators of land use
activity, e.g. nitrate, can be
removed from groundwater
by natural processes.
