Aratos Disaster Control (ADC) is an integrated online system for crisis management that monitors areas of interest, assesses environmental conditions, and provides alerts about natural disasters. It uses technologies like satellite imagery, sensors, and GNSS to detect fires, earthquakes, floods and more in near real-time. The open architecture system is customizable, expandable, and can integrate with existing infrastructure. It helps users plan prevention strategies and optimize response during and after crises. ADC has been successfully used by government agencies and organizations in Greece, North Macedonia, Albania, and beyond.
2. Natural Disasters Happen
Natural disasters happen due to natural phenomena (e.g.
earthquakes, floods) which have harmful repercussions to human
activities.
The lack of planning or the lack of a suitable system for the
management of crisis, worsens the human weakness in case of
natural disasters and leads to financial, structural and human losses.
