and define when and to whom alerts and notifications can be sent. All task
attributes can easily be adjusted to the specific needs of each company. With
ActionFlow.com it s also possible to create new processes and sell these
processes by adding them to the ActionFlow Catalog, making them available for
reviewing and purchasing by other ActionFlow users.

Pricing
After the 30 day free trail users will have to choose one of the existing membership
plans, starting at $29 per month for five users, 1 GB of storage and 50 active flows.
With your membership you get three process templates for free. Additional
process templates are available on the ActionFlow Catalog at different prices.
Process templates developed by ActionFlow usually cost from $29 to $198. The
price of process templates developed by third parties is specified by their authors.
HISTORY
The ActionFlow project started in February of 2009. After many years thinking
about it, Antonio Lucena de Faria managed to get the people and the money
necessary to initiate the development of ActionFlow.com. During the first six
months Maria Varela and Sara Nunes worked hard in defining the functional
specifications of the ActionFlow platform and creating process templates. In July
2009 a team of developers, under the leadership of Sandro Martins, initiated the
development of our first prototype. By the end of 2009 we had our first alpha
version up and running. A few months later we initiated our beta program. In
March 2010 we were invited to make a presentation at Seedcamp Barcelona for a
small audience of investors and developers. Returning from Barcelona we decided
to apply for DEMOFall 2010. We knew it was going to be difficult, given the usual
large number of applicants and the very high standards used by DEMO when
selecting whom to invite for the event. A few weeks later we were very happy when
we first got an email from DEMO and later talked on the phone with Matt Marshall,
the Executive Producer of DEMO. A few days later we got an invitation letter. From
the beginning of June to the end of August we worked full time in preparing our
launch at DEMOFall, September 14, in Silicon Valley.

TEAM
Antonio Lucena de Faria
I'm the founder. Some say that the ideiot (not to be confused with
idiot). I have more ideas per second than I wish. Sometimes it
gives me headaches. Other times something interesting happens
(according to my point of view). That's when I manage to convince
others that a crazy idea is not that crazy after all.
Marta Lowndes
Marta protects us (the ActionFlow team) from the "curse
of knowledge" (If you don't know what this is you should
read "Made to Stick"). She has a unique perspective on things, the
result of a great intellect, a degree in Architecture, an MBA, her
professional experience and the fact that she is a great plastic
artist. If it wasn't for her, most people would not understand what
ActionFlow is.
Maria Varela
Maria is the great organizer. She is an orchestration evangelist.
Her professional experience in management consulting gave her
the confidence that one needs when embarking in such a fantastic
adventure as the ActionFlow project is. She is the keeper of the
faith, working harder than any other. Always enthusiastic about
finding new ways to work better.
Sara Nunes
Sara is the Balsamic Mockup artist. She understands what we say
even when the words are few and confusing. She is the master of
functional specifications. And she tests and tests like no other.
Sometimes developers don't like her that much. But ActionFlow
would not be what it is without her. She is always competing with
Maria about who puts more effort into this project.
Sandro Martins
Sandro is our developer extraordinaire. He is also the great leader
of our development team. He is curious about technology and a
strong fan of cloud computing. It was him that convinced us to go
with Azure. It's great when you have someone in a startup that you
can totally trust when it comes to technology.

NEXT STEPS
Before the end of 2010 we will be announcing the ActionFlow Developers Program.
The objective of this program is to promote and facilitate the development of
process templates by companies or individuals that want to monetize their
expertise by creating and selling business process templates at ActionFlow.com.
We are also working in the ActionFlow iPhone and iPad applications that we plan
to launch during the first quarter of 2011.
We will keep working hard in improving ActionFlow.com, paying special attention to
the feedback and suggestions of our customers.
