2.  The Robin Hood Foundation is an organization that
provides grants to nonprofits in New York. Lenox Hill
Hospital (a member the North Shore LIJ Health
System) is a New York City-based acute care hospital
that recently received a grant from The Robin Hood
Foundation. Dr Warren Licht is a staff member at
Lenox Hill Hospital and Director with the North Shore
LIJ Health System). While Dr. Warren Licht has a history
of promoting preventive health and internal
medicine, one focus of the hospital is learning
disabilities. To that end, Lenox Hill Hospital is home to
the Center for Attention and Learning, or CAL, which
recently received funds from the Robin Hood
Foundation.

3.  The Robin Hood Foundation generally
funds nonprofit organizations with a clear
concept of what they want, a strong
leadership system, and respect in the
community. As applications are
accepted throughout the year, there is
no specific deadline for applying for a
grant from The Robin Hood Foundation.
However, decisions are made by the
board on a quarterly basis.

4.  Organizations that are serious about
applying and have reviewed all applicable
information are advised to speak to a
Grants Manager at The Robin Hood
Foundation before submitting an
application. First-time grants usually range
between $100,000 and $200,000, and each
organization that receives a grant should
be prepared to record the effect of the
grant money on the organization.
