Data science techniques can be applied to help solve water-related challenges. The Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology has a unit focused on water security and safety that includes 25 experts in areas like computer science, statistics, and data management. They have developed tools like GapIt to help fill in missing hydrological measurement data and identify gaps using statistical methods to support experts' decision making. The institute is looking for project partners interested in leveraging data science for smart water solutions.
