This document summarizes progress on an achievement strategy to increase the percentage of 2nd-5th grade students scoring 80% or higher on reading and math assessments. Charts show that more students in these grades are proficient than in previous years, with 62% of students currently scoring proficient overall. Specifically, proficiency rates for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades are higher than the past four years for both reading and math assessments.
