Sophie Aldridge's short film is a stop motion animation called "5-a-night" aimed at families and youths. It depicts fruit and vegetables that come to life at night to resume their daily activities, with the central plot involving an apple seeking revenge on a carrot that stole his date with a pepper. The animation will be uploaded to YouTube to reach its target youth audience and feature humor and conflict that appeals to both children and adults. Stop motion animation techniques will bring the food objects to life in the short film.

• It’s a animation, done with stop motion.
• A comody
• Aimed at families/youths
• Its called 5-a-night as its all about fruit and veg
(part of your 5-a-day) but they come to life at
night.
• Its about fruit/veg that come to life after dark and
resume their pervious day activities which for the
apple envolves getting revenge on a carrot that
stole his date.

3. Target audience
• My short film is aimed at families and youths
Its aimed at families as its funny- the adults will get
the part about the apples stollen date, whilst kids
will find it funny that food has come to life and is
fighting.
Its aimed at youths also, as its mostly youths who are
on youtube, watching animated/funny clips.
(In my questionnaire I found that most people like to
watch animations with their friends and family.
So I will make it to suit my target audience)

4. How it will target my audience
• It will be uploaded onto you tube so it reaches
youths who watch short animations/funny clips.
• For families it will suit every one- girls have the
romance conflit, boys have the fighting
and everyone has the funny aspect
of it. So it targets families.

5. Stop motion
• Stop motion (also known as stop action) is
an animation technique to make a physically
manipulated object appear to move on its own.
The object is moved in small increments
between individually photographed
frames, creating the illusion of movement when
the series of frames is played as a continuous
sequence.(Wikipedia)
stop motion is used In many films such as the
short animations featuring morph. This is also
known as clay motion.
I will use stop motion in my short film so that I
can make the objects (fruit/veg) appear to
move.

6. Story line in more detail
A person goes to bed at night. No sooner than there gone, an
apple starts to move in the fruit bowl and shuffels out. The
apple reaches the ground and looks up, he has a flash back of
yesterday when he was on a date with a “hot” pepper untill a
carrot came in and stole her. Now he wants revenge and goes
over to the veg box where ther carrot lives. The carrot comes
out unempressed as the apple confronts him and gets his gang
to join him. The carrot does the same and the fight starts for
the pepper. The fight goes on all of the night unitll the clock
strikes 6 and the fruit/veg run back to their orignal places. but
the carrot does not make it and the person walkes back in sees
him, picks him up and munches on him before walking back
out. Leaving a happy apple with the pepper.
