These companies are the jewelry manufacturing units of the parent diamond
company Jasani. The group is well known over the world for its top quality in
jewelry design and manufacturing. The management was known to me since my
interaction with them during my tenure with Prestige Jewelry (N.Y). for Quality
checking of finished jewelry. The management offered me a consultancy contract
as a 3rd
party QC to check the jewelry manufactured at their 3 factories located in
SEEPZ ; Andheri (West) Mumbai. The activities involved are as follows:
• Final inspection of jewelry pieces manufactured at their factories or
appointed vendors, studded or un-studded.
• The inspection would be for diamonds / color stones / metal.

4. • Customer samples and commercial orders.
• Parameters for QC would be benchmarked against customer samples or
in case of first time export to a new customer, as per company established
standards.
• Inspection to include random destruction of a piece for metal assay and
gem weight tolerance check.
• Inspect master models, and suggest changes or alterations as required,
technically or aesthetically.
• Seal passed pieces ready for export. Pieces cannot be exported without
my approval or in case of dispute with due documentation.
• Maintain MIS reports daily, monthly and yearly of number of pieces offered
for inspection, pieces passed at first attempt, various repairs, and
rejections.
• Average number of pieces to be checked per month would be
approximately 15,000.
Only group in SEEPZ to adopt the European format for manufacturing and
checking high end jewelry. This unique procedure was introduced by me.

MODEL MAKING
The company has carried out model making activities for major companies in
SEEPZ such as Inter Gold, International Gold Co. , Gem Plus, Rosy Blue (NY),
Rennaisence, Eternity, Precise etc. Our local customers to name a few are Gili,
Reves, Ace, HK Jewels, Emerald (Coiambatore), etc.
WAX-SETTING
The company had an agreement to carry out wax-setting operations with a
company in SEEPZ by the name of Gem Plus. The ready bagged diamonds with
waxes were forwarded to our factory in Vasai. After completion, the wax-set
pieces were transferred to our office at Jogeshwari for Gem Plus QC. The
passed pieces were sealed by the customers QC representative and forwarded
to Gem Plus town office.
Highlights: Completed a 75,000 pieces order for Gem Plus. The end customer
was Sterling NY. The order was completed within one month.
MARKETING CONSULTANCY
Took up consultancy for marketing operations for a company I-cap in Antwerp.
The companies focus was to market jewelry manufactured by Gem Plus (India)
all over Europe. Attended all major jewelry shows such as Basel, Vicenza,
Inhergenta, Paris Jewelry Exhibition. The new product development was carried
out under my supervision. All the models for the Europe Jewelry line were made
by De L’or.
We ended our liaison in the year 2002 due to certain in-acceptable terms dictated
by the Gem Pus management.
JEWELRY MANUFACTURING (On Job work basis).
In the year 2002 we were approached by an Antwerp based company
Zonnebleum bva., to undertake jewelry manufacturing operations. The finance to
set up the factory was undertaken by the Belgian company.
We are proud to declare our company manufactures exclusive titanium jewelry
plain, studded and with gold inlays. We also have our own collection of high end
diamonds and precious/semi precious stones studded gold jewelry that we
design and manufacture in-house.
ESQUADA - QUALITY CONTROL.
I undertook an offer made by a New York based company Prestige Jewelry Inc
NY, to look after their Jewelry production distributed with various vendors located
in SEEPZ and local. The operation involved a thorough quality check as per strict
bench marked guide lines. Not a single consignment has been rejected by the
end customer, which was passed and sealed by our quality team.
