1. About Us
Boost Buddy is a new brand dedicated to supporting our customers’ long-term health
and well-being. While a varied and healthy diet is the best source of nutrients, for
many young adults, their hectic modern lifestyles and constant demands of study,
work and partying can make it hard for them to find the right balance. That’s where
new BOOST BUDDY comes in. Our first product is a personalised multivitamin that is
the first of its kind in the world today.
We combine 6 unique features in the Boost Buddy multivitamin:
PROVEN
The health claims made for all our products comply with the new EU Regulation
432/2012, which became effective on December 14th
2012. Over 44,000 health
claims were assessed by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) and EFSA
were satisfied that a cause and effect relationship had been established in only 241
of them.
All Boost Buddy formulae have been prepared using the new permitted claims
register for guidance;
FORMULATION BY CLAIM
From the permitted health claims register we identified nutrients with the same or
similar health claims approved by EFSA and then combine them into our own 12
unique formulae.
We name our 12 formulae to reflect the permitted health claims, making it easier for
the customer to choose what is right for them.

BB01 CALM for the normal function of the nervous system
BB02 BRAIN for the normal function of the brain and cognitive function
BB03 IMMUNITY for the normal function of the immune system and protection from
oxidative stress
BB04 PEP contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue
BB05 SUPPLE contributes to the maintenance of normal connective tissue and
normal collagen formation
BB06 BLOOD contributes to normal blood formation, red blood cell formation,
haemoglobin, normal lipid metabolism
BB07 HEART contributes to the normal function of the heart
BB08 CHOLESTEROL contributes to the maintenance of normal blood cholesterol
levels
BB09 SHINE contributes to the maintenance of normal vision, hair, skin, and nails
BB10 ENERGY contributes to a normal energy-yielding metabolism
BB11 GROW has a role in the process of cell division and specialisation
BB12 CHILL contributes to normal psychological function
PERSONALISATION
This is what makes Boost Buddy so unique. From our 12 formulae, the customer
selects 4 that best support their lifestyle and diet, thereby creating their own
personalised multivitamin.
We provide as little as one week’s supply and the consumer can take out a
subscription for any period, even a week, change, cancel or postpone their order at
any time without penalty. Our product is suitable for anyone over 14 years old;

3. PACKAGING
Our packaging solution is a bright and colourful in 100% recyclable card, easy to use
and totally unique in the market. We are extremely proud to be shortlisted for the
European Carton Maker’s Award for Innovation;
SAFETY
We addressed two issues in terms of safety.
The first is to ensure consumers can safely combine 4 of our formulae when
personalising their multivitamin. We achieved this by formulating our products in such

4. a way that the consumer would never exceed their Recommended Daily Allowance
(RDA) regardless of the combination they choose;
The second is to ensure our product is manufactured to the highest quality standards
possible and not to import the product in bulk. Our products are manufactured in
Ireland in a factory which
o has been licensed as a manufacturer of dietary supplements since 1998;
o was granted in September 2010 by the Irish Medicines Board a Manufacturer’s
Authorisation assuring that manufacturing activities are performed in compliance with
GMP;
o the National Standards Authority of Ireland has confirmed the Quality Management
System complies with ISO9001:2008.

PERSONALITY
We want to put some woof into our range, so we have introduced Buddy the
Bloodhound, and we will be appearing at non-traditional locations such as university
campuses and music festivals.
Bloodhounds are loveable dogs, famous for tracking by scent and are known to
prefer the chase to the kill. They are great companions, ‘though notoriously difficult to
obedience train! Boost Buddy’s Buddy is an independent free spirit.
