occurs by the removal or
expulsion from the uterus of a fetus or embryo prior
to viability, it can be spontaneously, in which it is usually
called a miscarriage, or it can be purposely induced.
Left: Spontaneous
Abortion
Right: Induced
Abortion (D&E)
Abortion has been legal in every U.S. state since 1973, when the Supreme
Court ruled in Roe v. Wade(1973) that women have the right to make
medical decisions about their own bodies
Abortion isn’t really widely discussed, or
so as said, but it in fact continues to be a
raging controversy worldwide.
The issue that
abortion controversy
brings is of that,
should abortion be
legal, or illegal. This
is a topic that when
brought up, everyone
will have a say in it
and a why.
You can either be considered pro-life or pro-choice. A person who is
pro-choice believes that a woman should be able to make decisions
without any interference from the government, politicians, or
judges. On the other hand, a person who is pro-life believes
abortions should be illegal under all circumstances.
→ Unborn babies are still humans,
even from conception.
→ Aborting involves the killing of a
human being which defies a command
of God. “Thus shall not Kill” (which of
course has to do with ones religious
beliefs).
→ That’s why there are contraceptives
and being the term of staying abstinent.
→ Abortions can cause psychological
damages to the woman and others
involved.
→ Adoption should be the way to go,
many people who can’t, want to be in
your place.
→ An abortion can increase the
chance or even result in medical
complications later in life.
→ Complications during the
procedure of abortion can also occur.
→ Increases the likelihood in the
woman to develop breast cancer.
→ Ability to conceive later in life
intentionally correctly may be
damaged.
Pro-Life
Because…
Pro-Choice
Because…
→ The woman does have the right to
choose to abort.
→ It is not killing, so no pain is felt by
the fetus whatsoever.
→ Professional performed abortions
available, so reduced injury and deaths
caused by unsafe illegal “back alley”
aborts.
→ Quite necessary for when
contraceptives aren’t available and/or
not affordable.
→ Helps when conceiving a child will
interfere with career and life goals.
→ Babies should not come to the
world unwanted.
→ Crime will be reduced from those
who decide to shoplift because of their
financial struggles trying to support.
→ Believed its better and costs less to
abort then to actually give birth and
have to support.
No matter what one’s and theirs family's’ beliefs are, stakes
are still at risk that many people don’t pay much
attention to at the moment of the decision making. Think
about this:
→How would you be affected by this certain decision?
→ Think of someone's’ moral judgment you immensely respect, what
would they do about this?
→ Have you taken a look at the facts to your decision? Would it be taken
unethical by others?
→ How would your decision look if it were to be reported on the news
according to your honest reasoning?
→ Would you be proud of your choice if your child were to find out?
What if they did the same because of you?
→ Could you honestly defend your choice rationally?
→ Will you be able to sleep comfortably tonight?
Society still has arguments, discussions, etc about this
dilemma, everybody has many different opinions, morals,
thoughts, religious and cultural beliefs, views , and so on. The
topic of abortion brought up in any place, any where, any
time, I’m pretty sure EVERYONE has something to say
about how they feel about this situation, which is why no
conclusion has been said, furthermore no laws have been
made.
What if no form of abortion were available, or
furthermore existed?
…
These women WOULD use preventative methods to their
want and need at no matter what cost.
* * * * * * * * * *
You should think about how lucky you are that you can
actually fertilize and you do not any sexual dysfunctions
such as vaginismus, nor dyspeneunia (male).
People who are homosexual or who in fact have these
sexual dysfunctions and others, honestly try really
hard to be in your spot of being able to conceive, give
birth to, and love a child with all they have…
Adoption > Abortion
In my opinion the termination of
pregnancy should ONLY be available if
and only if the woman’s health is at
serious risk, pregnancy as a result of a
crime, such as rape, incest, or child
abuse, and/or also when it is known and
diagnosed that the child has a serious
terminal illness, such as
Hydranencephaly.
#1- A chosen abortion by a woman who is fine with making this difficult choice in
anothers eyes.
#2- A miscarriage that happens to a woman who dearly wanted her child and has
been waiting for years for the good news from the doctor.
For woman #1, the pregnancy itself is probably the most traumatic aspect
occurring to her. The fact that she now has to make this decision is probably very
traumatic also… But the actual abortion? Probably a relief.
For woman #2, the pregnancy itself is probably a joyous thing and learning that
she was pregnant was probably an incredibly wonderful moment. The fact that
she had a miscarriage and will never meet her child is probably the most traumatic
aspect…
