Started in 1978, as a small center for special education for children with Cerebral
Palsy, AADI is an established National level organization working for the rights of
people with disability.
AADI has been the forerunner in creating service delivery approaches in urban and
rural settings;developingacadre of humanresource to directlyaddressthe needs of
persons with disabilities and spread services in different parts of the country;
influence policy and law that addresses the needs of people with disabilities.
Today,AADIpursuesthe Visionof an enabling world in which people with disability
are acknowledged as a form of human diversity and are able to live with dignity,
make all decisions about life; pursue equal opportunities; belong and contribute to
families and communities.
While AADIhas workedwithmore than10,000 people touchedbydisability/yearand
has trained 3000 professionals/service providers over the years, influenced the
Planningprocessandmade significantcontributionstothe Legislative reforms in the
country, concerted efforts have still to be made to realize the Vision.

Faridabad and NCR Delhi.
The annual turnover is around Rs. 4 Crores. About 50% of our expenditure is self
financedthrough income from rentals and interestfrom investments. The balance is
raised through a variety of sources – specific grants from Government and other
organizations, fund raising events, corporate and individual donations.
Everyyear itis a struggle toraise the remaining 50% of recurring expenditure and to
simultaneously develop a sustainable resource base for effective and efficient
functioning. We have beenable bridge about80% of the gap throughour fundraising
