A Cop's Legacy: 1.4 Genius in the Making
1.
2. Happiness filled the Greene family. Madison and Elissa continued to climb up the ladder in their careers.
Elissa succesfully won the mayor position in the city and quickly worked her way up to being govenor.
Madison worked long hours and hard cases to move up and beat out other competitors for many a
promotion.
3. After becoming a teenager, Bennett had become quite the ladies’ man. He hated being called “Benny”
now, believing it made him look weak in the eyes of the opposite sex. Kerri Vogel was one of many to
catch his attention during his high school days.
4. There was also the pretty red-headed maid whom the family had hired. Bennett would spend an hour or
so after school chatting away with her, distracting her from her job. She didn’t mind though. Bennett was
much younger than her and it was nice to be flirted with by someone of his age again.
5. Christy Pritchett was another girl Bennett spent regular time with. Though bigger boned than the other
girls, Christy had a good heart which captured the teenage boy’s attention.
6. To impress the ladies, Bennett had his father train him on the weekends when he wasn’t working on a
case. Bennett excelled in athletics, quickly taking after his father and beginning to train on his own.
7. Bennett also pursued his love of music. Madison and Elissa had given their son a guitar for his thirteenth
birthday. When he wasn’t working out or wooing the ladies of the town, he was practicing, learning new
cords and songs.
8. Bennett also discovered a love of animals. After sneaking out one night to meet Kerri at a party, he was
lucky enough to come into contact with a unicorn. The creature was very beautiful and the teen couldn’t
believe his luck. He knew seeing a unicorn was a once in a lifetime opportunity.
9. It wasn’t long before Madison became an elder. Old age suited him well, despite losing some of his hair
and muscle definition. Immediately after his birthday, Madison completed his lifetime wish, getting his
final promotion to become an International Super Spy.
10. Carter also aged up. He gained the genius trait. This was no surprise to the rest of his family as Carter
had always shown great intelligence. Before starting school Carter had to get glasses to aid his eye sight.
11. It was strange to Aly and Bennett to have their little brother ride the bus in the mornings with them.
They now sat at the back of the bus, chatting with friends. Carter sat at the front, quiet and content. He
often brought a book with him to read during the ride to and from school.
12. Carter excelled at whatever he put his mind to. He was quickly beating his father at chess matches and
took his exquisite chess skills online, competing in a few tournaments while gaining many a logic skill.
13. He also spent quite a bit of time studying and doing his homework. Right off the bat, Carter was a
teacher’s pet and brought home straight As, never failing to be on the honor roll at the end of the
semester.
14. He even started tutoring other students at the request of their parents. The Myles family home is where
he spent most of his time, tutoring their three daughters, two of which were older than him.
15. When he wasn’t studying, tutoring or playing chess, Carter found joy in stargazing. His parents had given
him a telescope for his birthday and he took great pleasure in looking at the stars. Elissa believed that
one day her baby boy would make the perfect little astronaut.
16. Not to be forgotten, Aly was developing into an honest, attractive young woman. She took great pride in
her appearance, brushing her teeth and hair regularly.
17. She also spent time on her school work, bringing home mainly As and some Bs. She often studied with
her friends after school.
18. When Aly’s birthday rolled around her parents decided to throw her a pool party. Close friends and
coworkers were invited. But Aly only had eyes for Emmett Cornett, now a young adult. He’d caught her
eye when she was a freshman in high school.
19. Aly gained the ambitious trait upon becoming a young adult. She chose to cut off a few inches of her hair
and switch out her revealing teenage look for something a bit more modest. She also put in her
application at the diner in town, hoping to pursue her passions in cooking and become a Five Star Chef.
20. Elissa celebrated her birthday alongside her daughter. Bringing back her glasses, she was only too happy
to be rid of her dreadful contacts. By now she was Vice President, having to climb just one more rung of
the ladder to obtain her lifetime wish.
21. One evening Madison and Elissa sat down to
discuss the future of the Greene family. They
knew that their darling daughter would soon be
leaving the nest for bigger and better things.
However, they were unsure which of their sons
should take over the family legacy.
“Bennett has so many traits that would make him
a great asset to Law Enforcement,” Madison said,
holding his wife’s hand. “He’s brave and athletic.”
“But will he ever settle down?” Elissa asked.
“He’s strung so many broken hearts behind him.
What about Carter? I know he’s the youngest, but
he’s so intelligent. He’d make a great member of
the forensics team.”
“That’s more than true, but he’s so interested in
the stars. I’m not sure he’d be happy taking over
the legacy,” Madison pointed out.
